That's my least favorite period in WWE history so I don't remember it that well, but possibly.

Although he was clearly always beneath Cena and Orton, I'd say he was right in there with someone like Edge for example in the tiers of pushes

But like you never got the feeling he was the guy.

Yeah he was WWE Champ during a bulk of the Nexus storyline

Angle might not have been over Rock or Austin, but when he was there on top h felt like the guy.

No, not the guy but he was definitely hella prominent. Often times cutting the show opening promo and what have you.

I ain't watch that PPV he won his first on and I go on damn WWE.COM when I figure the PPV is over to see results and I see this piture.

and I'm like WHAT?! Cause I was shocked.
