Part 1
Event: SmackDown!'s Great American Bash
Date: July 20
Where: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York

'Paralyzer' by Finger Eleven plays throughout the arena as the important Pay-Per-View to SmackDown! 'The Great American Bash' begins. The pyrotechnics explode all over the stage and the crowd seems fired up.

Cole: Ladies & Gentleman welcome to SmackDown!'s 'Great American Bash'. Now it's no secret that this is a very important Pay-Per-View. We're not going to lie to you, the success plays a huge part in keeping Mr. McMahon happy.

Foley: That's right, Cole. But lets look at this positively, we know the SmackDown! roster is capable of putting on one hell of a show.

Cole: We know that, Mick but let's go on with the show. Our opening match-up is between two young guns of our company. According to WWE.com, Cody Rhodes challenged Ted DiBiase Jr. to a match here at 'The Great American Bash'. DiBiase, whom is undefeated on SmackDown! accepted the challenge thus making this match.

Foley: I'm excited for this match Cole, these two are very talented performers and have a bright future in WWE, I'm really excited.

Cole: But before we go to our first match, we should give the card a rundown.

Graphics appear on the screen showcasing all the matches..

Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase Jr.

WWE Championship
Triple H(c) vs CM Punk

World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H(c) vs Edge

Cole: Now ladies and gentleman we would also like to apologize for SmackDown!'s absence from television this past week, it was completely out of our hands.

Generic Rock Music hits and Cody Rhodes comes down to the ring.

Cole: Cody Rhodes, this kid also has a famous father like his opponent. Son of the great Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes.

Foley: That's right and as it stated on WWE.com, he challenged the undefeated DiBiase to a match.

Ted DiBiase Jr.'s music hits and he comes down to the ring.

Cole: Since his debut on SmackDown this kid has been impressive. He is two from two, defeating Hardcore Holly and DH Smith in impressive fashion.

Foley: And those reasons are why this should be a great even match because Cody is no pushover.

Cole: By no means at all, this will be an even match.

Match 1
Single
Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase Jr.

Cody Rhodes stands on his side of the ring with his game face on while DiBiase maintains a confident grin on his face. DiBiase calls the young Cody over, making it known he wants to begin this match that he is confident with. Cody accepts DiBiase's invite and they move into the center for a lock up. DiBiase showcases his strength and pushes Rhodes towards the ropes but Rhodes shows that he is no pushover and fights back, pushing DiBiase back to the center and quickly acting to lock in an armbar. He caught DiBiase off-guard with the armbar and remains in control with the painful procedure. DiBiase shakes his head when asked if he wants to give up and risks the certain pain and when he uses his bad arm to whip Cody to the ropes, the pain was unbearable but he achieved his goal of escaping the submission maneuver. Rhodes bounces off the ropes and connects with a running dropkick on a kneeling DiBiase whom was nursing his arm. Rhodes quickly hooks the leg of DiBiase in hope of ending the undefeated streak, 1... DiBiase kicks out. Rhodes guides him back up and hammers away at the back of DiBiase, Rhodes' dominance doesn't last long though.

DiBiase takes in the knocks to his back and counters Rhodes' front facelock into a shoulder thrust that he drives until Rhodes hits the corner turnbuckles. DiBiase then continues to drive his shoulders into the midsection of the cornered Rhodes numerous more times before reverting back to a standing position and landing some hard European Uppercuts on Rhodes. He then locks Rhodes in a front facelock and sits him up on the top rope. He sets him up for a superplex and has no challenge from a beat up Cody and perfects the potentially fatal maneuver and follows it up with a pin, 1...2... Cody somehow kicks out keeping his aspiration of ending the undefeated streak alive. DiBiase signals money to the crowd. This could mean his new finisher, 'The Moneymaker' a rolling cutter. As Cody starts to stumble back up, DiBiase locks him in an inverted facelock and has Cody set up for the moneymaker and.. Cody manages to wriggle out of it and fall back down to the canvas on his back. DiBiase tries to pull him back up but Cody kicks him in the face, sending him away. DiBiase nurses his nose after the impact from the kick. As DiBiase recovers from the kick he turns around.

Right when he turns around he receives a kick to the gut and an immediate DDT from Cody Rhodes! DiBiase is down and out as Cody rolls him over and hooks the leg, 1...2... DiBiase kicks out! Rhodes can't believe it and tries again with a stronger pinning predicament, 1...2... same response from DiBiase, a kick out. Rhodes punches the canvas in frustration and begins to measure DiBiase for another DDT, DiBiase stumbles up, nursing his head and face. Cody turns him around and goes for another kick to the gut but DiBiase blocks it and whips him to the ropes but immediately follows it up and clotheslines Cody over the ropes along with himself. Both are on the outside of the ring motionless as the referee begins the count. At 4 DiBiase starts to move again and Rhodes soon follows. Once both youngsters are back to their feet they begin to trade blows jut in front of the announcers table. Rhodes manages to block a right from DiBiase and land a few in succession before momentarily rolling in the ring and rolling out and returning with one more big right hand that knocks Ted groggy. Rhodes then charges at his cocky opponent and takes him down with a running clothesline.

DiBiase's head rikishays off the ground and Rhodes rolls back into the ring momentarily and returns to the outside, restarting the count. Rhodes stomps away at DiBiase before guiding him back up and rolling him back into the ring. Rhodes rolls back in and covers DiBiase, 1...2 DiBiase kicks out. Rhodes begins to measure DiBiase again, in hopes that his DDT will be successful this time. DiBiase stumbles back up; using the ropes as leverage. DiBiase turns around off the ropes and Rhodes is waiting. DiBiase though, suddenly becomes alive. He lands a massive clothesline on Rhodes and finishing it off with an elbow drop. DiBiase is alight. Ted then drops down to his knees and hooks the leg of Rhodes, 1...2 Rhodes kicks out and gets back up. DiBiase though, is back on the ball. Rhodes tries for a kick to the gut but DiBiase catches his boot and lifts it up, causing Rhodes to fall back down to the canvas. DiBiase then stomps away at Rhodes before casually retreating backwards to the ropes and rebounding in a manner as if it's too easy and lands a leg drop on Cody and then covers him, 1...2.. Rhodes kicks out just in time and DiBiase can smell a victory coming soon.

Rhodes stumbles back up to his feet. He is on his knees and nearly to his feet but DiBiase manages to get him in an inverted facelock while he is on his knees and has him set up for the Moneymaker. Rhodes doesn't have anything left to try and get out of it and DiBiase casually perfects the rolling cutter known as the Moneymaker and Rhodes seems unconscious as DiBiase confidently hooks the leg, 1...2...3

Winner - Ted DiBiase via Pinfall

DiBiase stands up in the middle of the ring with a cocky smile in his face as the referee lifts his arm up in victory.

Cole: Well Cody Rhodes showed he could go with this exciting young prospect for a limited amount of time before falling victim to that deadly maneuver, 'The Moneymaker'.

Foley: This kid's on the way up and no-one can stop him from achieving his goals because he is damn talented.

Cole: Speaking of people on the way up, our next match consists of three of them.

Foley: That's right, this next match is a number one contender match for the intercontinental championship. John Morrison, Test and Elijah Burke will be going at it for a shot at that title.

Cole: That's right, and speaking of Test, he was in the middle of that AJ Styles/Kane catastrophe a few weeks ago.

Graphics showcasing the first ever Extreme Steel Cage Match Appear.

'Ain't No Make Believe' hits and John Morrison comes down to the ring in his usual fashion.

Cole: John Morrison, a very athletically gifted man. Yes, I may not like his attitude but you can't take away his abilities.

Foley: No you can't. Morrison has a very bright future ahead of him.

'Don't Waste My Time' hits and Elijah Burke comes down.

Cole: This match is just full of young, athletically gifted stars. This'll be one hell of a match.

Foley: I can already tell.

Test's music hits and he comes down to the ring.

Cole: Test, this man is yet another very talented man.

Foley: All of them are.

Match 2
#1 Contender for Intercontinental Championship
Triple Threat
Test vs Elijah Burke vs John Morrison

Morrison and Burke stand on opposite sides of the ring while Test is in between them. Morrison and Burke look at each other and nod before quickly charging at Test and jumping him. Morrison lands some kicks to the gut while Burke showcases his amateur boxing skills by nailing some incredible punches to the head of Test. Test tries to overpower them but can't and he eventually gets overpowered by them. Morrison continues to land some stomps to the midsection of Test while Burke holds onto his head and lands some strong shots to the face of Test. Morrison and Burke eventually roll a motionless Test out of the ring. As Burke finishes him off Morrison jumps him from behind and hammers away at the back of Burke until Burke is on one knee. Morrison then retreats back to the ropes and rebounds off. Burke turns right around though and connects with a textbook dropkick to the oncoming Morrison. Burke then hooks the leg, 1... Morrison kicks out. Burke guides him back up and whips him to the corner. He follows it up with a clothesline and then begins to use Morrison as a human punching-bag with his amateur boxing skills showing.

Unbeknownst to him, Test is back in the ring and he attacks Burke from behind and throws him outside the ring. Test then lands some strong shoulder thrusts to the midsection of the cornered Morrison. Test then throws him out of the corner and back to the center of the ring. As Morrison gets to his knees Test charges at him in search of a running big boot and.. He nails it. Morrison falls back down to the canvas, seemingly unconscious and Test covers him, 1...2... Burke breaks it up just in time. Burke hammers away at Test as Morrison slowly rolls out of the ring. Test this time stands the pain and gets back to his feet and swings around with an elbow that connects with the face of Burke and knocks him a little groggy. Test then runs to the ropes on his side and rebounds off in search of a high-impact shoulder block but Burke sidesteps it and Test almost flies out of the ring. As Test regains his composure he turns around into a kick to the gut and then gets whipped to a corner turnbuckle. Burke then charges at him and connects with a stinger splash to the cornered Test. Test stumbles forward and Burke nails him with a dropkick.

Test falls back down to the canvas and lands under the turnbuckle. Morrison starts to get back in the ring and comes in just as Burke nails the Outer Limitz Elbow Drop. Burke drags Test into the center of the ring to pin him but as he is on his knees he receives a dropkick to the face from a running, recovered Morrison. Morrison then covers Test, 1...2.. Test kicks out and Morrison then covers Burke, 1... Burke kicks out which drives Morrison to perform the breakdance leg drop. He perfects that and tries for another cover on Burke, 1...2.. Test breaks it up. Morrison gets back up, as does Test and the two begin to trade blows until Morrison blocks one and nails some forearm shots in succession and then finishes off the combo with a step-up Enzuigiri that knocks Test out of the ring. It's back to Burke and Morrison. Morrison stands over to the side of Burke and nails a standing shooting star press that wows the crowd. Morrison turns it into a pinning predicament, 1...2... Burke just kicks out. Morrison begins to measure Burke as he struggles to get back up. Burke gets back to his feet eventually; nursing his stomach, he turns around and receives a kick to the gut from Morrison.

Morrison tries to set him up for the moonlight drive but he gets interrupted by Test who comes back in the ring. He nails a powerful clothesline on Morrison thus, ruining the possible moonlight drive. He then grabs Burke and lifts him up in a Fireman's Carry position and perfects a Spinning TKO or as he calls it now, a Test Drive. Burke is out of it and Test drops down to his knees and confidently covers a lifeless Burke, 1...2... Morrison breaks it up! Just in time. Test is furious with Morrison and gets back up to face him. They press their faces together and agree to go at it one on one. They kick Burke out under the bottom turnbuckle and he falls down to the ground. Test and Morrison then begin trading blows. Test starts to gain the upper-hand and then lands a strong knee to the unprotected gut of Morrison. He then grabs him by the hair and guides him over to the corner where he smacks his face on the top turnbuckle numerous times. Test then whips a groggy Morrison to the ropes as he runs to the opposite ones. They both rebound and Test goes for a running big boot to the also oncoming Morrison but somehow Morrison performs a baseball slide like move to slide under the lifted leg of Test.

Test turns around and receives a rake to the eye from Morrison and turns around to shield his eye. This puts him in perfect position for a neckbreaker slam and Morrison does just that. Morrison perfects the neckbreaker slam and begins to climb to the top rope. Morrison then turns around to perform one of his signature corkscrew moonsault variations. He looks to be all ready to perform the amazing move but Elijah Burke appears on the apron and lands a right hand on Morrison that seems to knock him out. Morrison falls back down into the ring as Burke enters. Test starts to regain his composure as Burke enters and the two exchange blows until a more refreshed Burke blocks a right from Test and counters it into an abdominal stretch. Test starts to scream in pain as Burke keeps it locked in. The referee begins to check with Test if he wants to call it quits and just as it seems he's about to throw in the towel he uses his last ounce of strength to get to the ropes. The referee breaks the submission maneuver up. Burke lets Test recover as Morrison starts to stumble back up after seemingly being knocked out after that right hand from Burke.

Morrison comes off thew ropes after using them as leverage and returns to where he was, the canvas. Burke lifts him up and throws him back down with a scoop slam. Test approaches Burke but is still hurt from the abdominal stretch. Test tries for a clothesline but Burke ducks, Test turns around and almost receives a 4-Up Combo but manages to sidestep it and locks Burke in a bear hug. Burke screams in pain as the roles have been reversed with Burke being on the receiving end of an extremely painful submission maneuver. Burke begins to fight through the pain and land some elbows on Test but the pain soon overpowers him. Put of nowhere Morrison springboards off the ropes with an Enzuigiri that connects with the back of Test's head and he drops to the canvas thus releasing the bear hug submission. Morrison then turns Test over and hooks the leg, 1...2 a hurt Burke breaks it up. Morrison then gets back up and allows Burke to get back to his feet. Once Burke gets back to his feet Morrison tries to perform a Russian legsweep but Burke lands some elbows to the side of his head and strongly whips him to the corner. Burke then quickly pulls his kneepads down.

Morrison then falls victim to an Elijah Express but Burke can't capitalize because Test throws him back and goes for the pinfall on Morrison, 1...2 Burke breaks it up and throws Test back and goes for a pinfall, 1...2 Test then breaks it up. He grabs Burke by his cornrows and stands him back up. He drives a hard knee into the abdomen of Burke and sets him up for a pumphandle slam. He lifts him up over his shoulder but just as he does Burke manages to slip out of it and land behind Test. Burke then takes advantage of the position and performs a German Suplex and goes for the cover, 1...2... Test kicks out. Burke guides Test back up and attempts a whip to the corner but Test reverses and Burke crashes into the corner. Test follows it up with a running high impact clothesline. Burke then stumbles out of the corner and Test lifts him up in a Fireman's Carry position and plants him with a Test Drive. Burke is out of it and Test turns around to make the pinfall after leaning over the ropes but he is greeted with a kick to the gut followed by a Moonlight Drive. Test is out of it too and Morrison makes the pinfall, 1...2...3

Winner & New #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship - John Morrison

Cole: What a match! Now we have the Intercontinental Title defended and we'll see whether John Morrison will be facing Chris Jericho or Jeff Hardy.

Foley: Well Chis Jericho and Jeff Hardy will certainly have to put on a hell of a show to top that. And they'll have to remember what they're up against after that showing.

'No More Words' hits and 'The Rainbow Haired Warrior' Jeff Hardy comes down to the ring.

Cole: Jeff Hardy, if he wins it won't be easy, after seeing what those three men went through I wouldn't want to be the Intercontinental Champion.

5...4...3...2...1...0...'Break Down the Walls' hits and the Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho appears at the top of the ramp in his signature stance before coming down to the ring.

Cole: Y2J Chris Jericho, lately has turned on the fans and refuses to be cheered by them and this reception shows that they don't plan on cheering for him.

Foley: Well the way he spoke to them, they won't be for a while.

Match 3
Intercontinental Championship
Single
Chris Jericho(c) vs Jeff Hardy

Jericho stands on one side of the ring and looks around maintaining a frown on his face while Hardy looks around and the arena erupts in cheers. He then looks back at Jericho who just shakes his head with a smirk. They both move in and look face to face. Jericho puts a hand out for a shake; Hardy looks at it and puts his hands on his waist and looks up. He then goes to accept but Jericho moves it smoothly past his face and puts on a cocky smile while the crowd boo. Jericho is then hit with a right hand from Hardy and the crowd cheer loudly. Jericho feels his face and looks at the tip of his finger to see if there's blood. Jericho then retaliates with a right hand of his own but Hardy blocks it and lands a kick to the gut that Jericho catches but Hardy then nails a mule kick that knocks Jericho down to the canvas. Hardy then spreads Jericho's legs apart and lands a leg drop to the groin and then leaps up to cover Jericho, 1...2 Jericho kicks out angrily. Both men get back up and Hardy manages to whip Jericho to the rope and on the rebound goes for a dropkick but Jericho holds onto the ropes and Hardy crashes down to the canvas. Jericho then tries to end it quickly and runs to the ropes and..

Lionsault! But Hardy moves and Jericho connects with the canvas. Jericho is on his knees nursing his stomach when Hardy rebounds off the ropes and lands a running low dropkick to the face of Jericho and that knocks him back down to the canvas. Hardy covers, 1...2 Jericho kicks out again frustratingly and gets back up. This time before Hardy can land some more offense Jericho is ready. He blocks an attempted forearm shot and lands a hard kick to Hardy's gut. Hardy is bent forward nursing his stomach; Jericho rebounds off the ropes behind Hardy and connects with a running one-handed bulldog. Jericho is angry with how the match has gone with Hardy managing to get the upper-hand most of the time. Jericho rolls out of the ring and retrieves a steel chair; the crowd boo as he returns to the ring with it. The referee tries to restrain Jericho with the chair and eventually succeeds. Hardy then charges at Jericho but Jericho is ready and performs a drop-toe-hold, causing Hardy to faceplant on the canvas. Jericho then approaches Hardy and begins to try and perform the Walls of Jericho but Hardy fights back and eventually pushes Jericho away.

Jericho returns though but a recovered Hardy charges at him with a running forearm shot followed by a whip to the corner but Jericho reverses and Hardy gets sent to the corner. Jericho immediately follows him up but Hardy catches Jericho and everyone by surprise when he performs a textbook Whisper in the Wind that takes out Jericho. Hardy hooks the leg, 1...2... Jericho just kicks out. Hardy then quickly gets up and starts to climb the turnbuckles and reaches the top rope. The crowd cheer; they know what's coming. Hardy does his signature taunt and then leaps from the top with a Swanton Bomb and.. Jericho moves out of the way just in time. Both men are down, champ and challenger. The referee begins to make the count, 1...2...3...4...5...6...7 Jericho starts to get to his knees, as does Hardy. They finally get back to their feet and Jericho tries for a step-up Enzuigiri but Hardy steps back and Jericho crashes down to the canvas. He gets straight back up and tries for a kick to the gut but Hardy catches and pushes Jericho away strongly and he flies back, sandwiching the referee between him and the turnbuckles. Jericho is unaware that the referee is unconscious.

Jericho flies out of the corner and connects with a deadly Codebreaker that takes out Hardy. Hardy is down and out; Jericho decides to finish him off, he runs to the ropes and springboards off with a Lionsault and hooks the leg, there's no count. Jericho waits and turns around to see that the referee is knocked out. He then gets an evil smile on his face and retrieves that chair he had from the corner. He looks at it before approaching Hardy and.. Hardy lands a dropkick like move from down on the canvas that knocks the chair back into Jericho and he falls back. Hardy then runs to the corner and reaches the top rope and quickly flies from the top with a Swanton Bomb and.. it connects! Hardy hooks the leg after shaking the referee. He gets a slow count, 1......2.......3

Rhodes Vs Dibiase: It was a good match for the two young men, it flowed quite nicely and I feel that Dibase was quite dominant in the match, its good that he won. 6.5/10

Test Vs Burke Vs Morrison: Great match, this has been my favourite so far. I like matches with more then two wrestlers in it because it keeps the match fresh with a great range of moves from all the guys in the match. I like how you wrote this, it was back and fourth and I was unsure of who would win. I am glad that John Morrison won and he deserved too. 8.5/10

IC title match: Hardy and Jericho, it was a good match. Its good getting the IC title off Jericho since he is old lol, suits Jeff better. This was better then the first match but not the best of the first half of the PPV. Morrison is number one contender for Hardy's title lol, that would be great. 7.5/10

Nice first part, I really liked the triple threat match! It was awesome, I will be back to check out part 2 but for this part it scores 8/10 :y:

DiBiase vs Rhodes: Right choice to open the show with. Surprised you had DiBiase kick out of the DDT, but I guess you are making him look strong. Nice length macth for the two, and DiBiase was put over well. Good start.

Morrison vs Test vs Burke: It flowed well, with everyone always being in the right position, and you always making it clear where people were. Thought Morrison would go over, and it was a good finish.

Hardy vs Jericho: Was solid, but I thought the two could have gone for longer. Hardy not going over completely clean protects Jericho, while also helping Hardy. Smart booking.

AC: Good first part, very solid start. I'll read what you put out for the rest of the PPV too.

What can I say, good work on the first part, but I'll give my full review when the entire show is posted. Watching the card I see 2 Number One Contendership match, so this PPV will be very important, with also HHH defending twice. I'll keep reviewing.

Check out BTW, Uprising PPV has been posted.

It's my first time to read your BTB CT and this PPV is quite good so far. I am a bit curious on what will happen on the main event. Will HHH retain both titles or will he lose one? I'll give a review when Part 2 is up.
