Before Night of Champions WWE held a draft. During this draft there was some massive changes to both rosters. During the special three-hour RAW, SmackDown! and RAW had some massive shakeups to their rosters, the biggest one being SmackDown! getting the WWE Championship and RAW getting the World Heavyweight Championship. Vince McMahon also made a huge announcement saying that ECW had been disbanded and that their talent would be distributed to RAW & SmackDown! during the night. Another announcement made was SmackDown! was now going to go LIVE! on Friday Nights and they would have a new General Manager, Charlie Cosgrove. No-one really knew who Charlie Cosgrove was but he would be introduced this Friday Night, LIVE! The draft finally concluded and SmackDown! and RAW seemed to be where it all began, just them two.

SmackDown! comes to you LIVE for the first time from Anaheim, California!

On SmackDown!'s very first LIVE broadcast, we will be kicking off this new era with a bang! Shawn Michaels will be taking on a former arch rival in Randy Orton, this match is sure to have fireworks. Back at Judgment Day 2007 Randy Orton almost ended the career of The Heartbreak Kid and now HBK has a chance at revenge. Will the Show Stopper stop The Legend Killer's show? Or will Randy Orton live up to his name, 'The Legend Killer'. Tune into the very first LIVE SmackDown! to find out.

Chris Jericho has really been against the audience lately and that is why WWE.com held an audience poll on who The Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla should face out of Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk or Rey Mysterio. The final results for the poll were Rey Mysterio - 38%, CM Punk - 32% and Shelton Benjamin - 30%. This week's SmackDown! will feature those two amazing athletes go one on one in the non-title match up. The Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla claimed that he couldn't care less who he faced, either way he was going to show the fans that who they cheer for, will lose.

There will be a new member of the SmackDown! brand apparently making an appearance on Friday. No word on who it is but he hasn't worked in WWE before, so there will be a new face this Friday and no-one knows who it is. 'The Big Red Machine' Kane has been on quite a winning streak lately and he would be looking to continue it on SmackDown! he is booked to face Test in a one on one match up.

All that and more as SmackDown! comes to you LIVE from Anaheim, California in the Honda Center!

just one thing, howcome you didn't just combine the smackdown with the Raw one and do both ? Oh well , up to you...Just thought it was strange you do a RAW BTB and than a smackdown one ? Why not just update the old one with smackdown rosters ? .... but I might check this out if I have time with my busy month ahead... Good luck, please pick a BTB and stay with it like BKB had said.

I want to get back to doing lots of reviews for everyone, so il drop reviews here. CT Styles, I hope you can reach good with this BTB, and il defently be reviewing. I like the rosters, and im curious to see what is in store for SmackDown, since it looks like the better roster. Good Luck:)

'Rise Up' hits and the first ever LIVE SmackDown! begins. The fans are cheering as the camera pans around the full Honda Center.

Cole: Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman and welcome to Friday Night SmackDown! We are here LIVE from The Honda Center in Anaheim, California!

Foley: That's right Michael, tonight is a night to remember as Friday Night SmackDown! begins a new era that will hopefully give it the recognition it deserves.

Cole: And what a beginning to an era we'll have with General Manager making his first appearance on WWE television!

Foley: That's right! Charlie Cosgrove is in the house and is ready to come out.


'Number One' by Nelly hits on the speakers and SmackDown!'s new General Manager, Charlie Cosgrove appears at the top of the ramp. A young man in his mid-thirties appears in a suit. He walks down to the ring with a microphone in one hand. The crowd don't give much of a reaction for the new face as they don't know what reaction to give. So many questions needed to be answered; Was he nice? Was he a McMahon like person? All these answers could possibly be answered over the next few weeks. Cosgrove stands in the ring and lets the experience sink in for a little while before finally putting his mouth to the microphone.

Charlie: Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman.

He pauses slightly and lets it all sink in again.

Charlie: The new SmackDown! General Manager has arrived. SmackDown! better get ready for a ride because I don't know about you guys but I'm sick and tired of SmackDown! being regarded as The 'B' Show. Well Ladies & Gentleman, that is all about to change because I am here. GM Cosgrove is going to save SmackDown! No pun intended, Chris.

Crowd laugh as the new General Manager seems to be making a positive entrance into his new job.

Charlie: I also am here tonight to make quite a shocking announcement. The draft is not over.


Crowd seem shocked at what Charlie has said and start making guesses as to who it could be.

Charlie: I am here to make the announcement that one of our SmackDown! superstars will be moving to RAW and one of the RAW superstars will be moving to SmackDown! But; this will become official at the end of the night, after our Main Event which will be Edge, our World Heavyweight Champion taking defending his title against our newest member, which will be revealed as well as our departing superstar. So Ladies & Gentleman I bid you farewell for now, as I have work to do. I hope you enjoy the show!

Crowd pop.

Commercial Break

DH Smith's music hits and he comes down to the ring.

Cole: DH Smith, son of the legendary 'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith.

Foley: He's shown potential in the matches I've seen him compete in.


Ted DiBiase's music hits and the fellow son of a legend makes his way down to the ring.

Foley: Now this kid definitely has a future, I can sense it. There's something about him that I can tell is excellence.

Cole: I definitely don't doubt you, Mick. He too has potential.

DH Smith vs Ted DiBiase


Ted DiBiase established his dominance in the match early on. Smith appeared to be getting a good start to the match when he went to connect with a shoulder block to the cornered DiBiase but the fellow son of a legend managed to move out of the way, causing 'The Canadian Bulldog' to drive his left shoulder into the top turnbuckle, seemingly severely injuring it. DiBiase noticed this and from thereon it seemed downhill for the son of Davey Boy. DiBiase, along with his sadistic grin targeted in on the hurt shoulder. Throughout the match DiBiase would perfect a momentum building maneuver and would then go back to the injured limb, eliminating any strength needing move from DH Smith's moveset for tonight. Smith's limb coped stomps and forearm shots, knees and elbows. Smith never seemed to have a chance in this one-sided match from the beginning where that mistake happened. DiBiase rebounded off the ropes after the halfway mark and looked to attempt yet another offensive maneuver but was shocked when he was greeted with a rare offense from Smith with a big boot to the face of DiBiase; momentarily pausing the dominance of the simply priceless young man.

Smith tried to end the hell he had been going through and hooked the leg of the exciting young talent; unfortunately for Smith, DiBiase kicked out right on 2. Smith was forced to live through some more misery and torture. DiBiase got back up; almost immediately and continued to punish that left shoulder with numerous offensive tactics. Towards the end of this completely one-sided match, DiBiase tortured The Canadian Bulldog' some more and performed a textbook arm drag that aggravated that injury some more. Smith lay on the canvas as DiBiase confidently rebounded off the ropes, not much faster than walking and drove down a leg drop to the second generation superstar. DiBiase got back to his feet and stood above the head of young Harry. DiBiase then showcased his cockiness with, 'What can I say? I'm simply priceless.' and a cheap smirk. Smith then received a knee drop to the face from the arrogant young man. Smith managed to roll over and eventually get back to two feet. An oncoming DiBiase seemed to finish Smith off but Smith put his foot out and forced DiBiase down to the canvas due to the attempted and unsuccessful big boot.

DiBiase appeared behind Smith and placed his hands at the front of Smith's neck and drove his head down to his knee. Smith's head bounced off DiBiase's knee at the end of this deadly procedure and DiBiase finished off this punishment with a hook of the leg, along with an arrogant smirk for the three count. Dominance; Established.

Backstage

Edge is seen backstage with Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder when suddenly he is interrupted by John Cena who gets a huge crowd reaction.

Cena: I hope you know, that that belt is going to be going around my waist when I get my shot at it.

Edge: Well Cena, I already have to defend it against a mystery opponent from RAW tonight so maybe you won't get that chance.

Cena: Either way Edge, we've been separated for a while now and basically what I'm trying to say is, I want you in that ring in front of the thousands of fans so I can whip your ass on worldwide television because I've waited a while to get a second shot at you and my chance has finally come. So when I walk out to that ring next week, whether that title is around your waist or now and I yell some of my favorite words in the English Dictionary, 'You Want Some?! Come Get Some!' what will your reply be?

Edge: What do you mean whether this title is around my waist or not? Of course it's going to be around my waist! What makes you think it won't be?! You know what Cena? I'm gonna show you why it'll be around my waist, next week! You've got your match!

Cena: Good, and Edge, make sure you bring your A-Game.

Back at Ringside

Cole: Well first off, I can't wait to see who SmackDown! has gained via the draft but I also can't wait for that match next week! John Cena versus Edge!

Foley: It sure will be a hell of a match and I'm sure this one will too, Test versus Kane.


Fire erupts at the top of the ramp as 'The Big Red Machine' makes his way down the ramp. He gets quite a good reaction. He walks to the end of the ramp and enters the ring, stepping over the top rope. He then proceeds to do his signature ring pyro with his arms and fire erupts out of the corners of the ring.

Cole: I'm looking forward to this match, Kane was on quite a winning steak before coming to SmackDown!, let's see if he can continue it.


Test's music hits and he comes down the ramp and into the ring.

Foley: Test is a very powerful athlete and don't be surprised if he puts up a real challenge to the Big Red Machine, Kane.

Cole: Oh, I know what Test is capable of and I'm sure we'll see it here tonight.

Match 2

Kane vs Test


The match starts off with Test showing Kane that he is no pushover; he landed some hard shots to the head and chest of Kane and rebounded off the ropes numerous times, nailing some high-impact moves but all of them not enough to keep 'The Big Red Machine' down for the three count. Pretty soon the Monster had had enough of Test and grabbed him by the throat and intended to end the match quicker than expected with a chokeslam but Test landed a kick to the gut of Kane, halting his plans. Test maintained control of the match throughout the next few minutes with some more powerful moves including his signature big boot maneuver which almost put the lights out for Kane but he managed to stay alive in the match-up. Test seemed to be dominating the match-up during the mid-stages and the fans seemed to have given up hope on 'The Big Red Monster' until he finally got some offense in with a deadly uppercut that knocked Test almost off his feet and into a groggy state of mind. Kane then continued the flurry of offense with some more almost decapitating uppercuts that forced Test to the ropes. 'The 7-Foot Monster' then ran to the ropes behind him and rebounded off, clotheslining Test to the outside.

Test landed on the hard floor on the outside of the ring and Kane exited the ring to continue his punishment of Test for all the offense he had given earlier on. Kane goes to grab Test by the hair and lift him up but Test nails a low-blow on Kane and throws him into the announcers table. The referee rings the bell.


Winner - Kane via DQ @ 8:03

Test though, continues the punishment on Kane, whom is helpless. Test hammers away at the back of Kane while he is bent over on the announcers table after being thrown into it. The punishment though, comes to a halt as to some, a familiar tune plays throughout the arena...

'I Am' blares through the speakers as 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles runs down the ramp to shock from the crowd. AJ attacks Test from behind and makes the save on Kane after a flurry of offense followed by a fatal Styles Clash. AJ tries to help him up but Kane tries to attack him! Kane grabs AJ by the throat and tries to lift him up but thankfully for AJ he lands a kick to the gut of Kane, who is extremely angry at AJ. Kane watches AJ back away as he picks up an unconscious Test and nails a chokeslam through the Spanish Announce table and points at AJ.


Cole: What has happened to Kane? AJ Styles, a new member of our roster just tried to save Kane but now Kane it seems, wants to kill him!

Foley: Yeah, I don't know what's gotten into Kane. He looks like he's going to lose it.

Cole: If I was AJ, even though he did the right thing, I would be watching my back because it seems Kane is after him.


Commercial Break

Backstage in the Locker Room

Shawn Michaels is seen getting ready for his match when Maria walks in.

Maria: Hey Shawn, would you be interested in an interview?

Shawn: Sure, Maria.

Maria: What are your thoughts going into your match with Randy Orton tonight?

Shawn: Maria, Randy Orton nearly ended my career last year at Judgment Day. He punt kicked my head and I was out for months, sitting at home watching him have all this success when he obviously doesn't deserve it. I came back, I faced him at Cyber Sunday for the WWE Championship and he cheated his way out of the match, intentionally disqualifying himself. I then got a rematch at Survivor Series but again, he had an advantage, I couldn't use the Superkick thus, I came up short. The bottom line is, Maria. Randy Orton cannot compete on an even playing field, he always has to have the advantage in some way, shape or form. And the Heartbreak Kid doesn't need the odds to be on his side, because that means you have absolutely nothing to lose and I will always, always go down in a blaze of glory but tonight, the odds are even, meaning Orton has no backup plan, no easy way out of it, he has no escape from Sweet Chin Music.

Maria: Uhuh, and what are your thoughts on being in a completely new environment, SmackDown!?

Maria, it doesn't matter what show the Show Stopper is on. Yes, this may provide me with new opponents but they all know that when you step in the ring with the Heartbreak Kid, you have quite a challenge ahead of you. Yes, I have been apart of the RAW roster for a little over fifteen years now, which shows my age, haha but nonetheless, I can always do with a change and SmackDown! will be HBK's new home, for now.


Maria: Thank you for your time, Shawn.

Shawn: No problem, Maria.


Back at Ringside

10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0...'Break Down the Walls' hits and Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho comes down to the ring with heat. He has his Intercontinental Championship around his waist.

Cole: Here he comes, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho ready for this non-title match-up.

Foley: This should be a hell of a match, Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio.


'Booyaka 619' hits and Rey Mysterio comes down to the ring.

Foley: I have the utmost respect for Rey Mysterio, he really is the permanent underdog in almost all of his matches and maybe he can teak Chris Jericho a lesson, that the crowd can make a difference.

Cole: That's right, and it does. Jericho said himself that he refused to be cheered by the crowd and we witnessed that when he came down to the ring.

Rey Mysterio vs Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho


The match started off as some would expect, with an arrogant Chris Jericho in control. After numerous offensive and somewhat cowardly acts, Jericho gained the upper-hand quite quickly. Jericho maintained the upper-hand for the majority of the first half with Rey Mysterio showcasing glimmers of hope that never seemed to stay long enough to make an impact on the pattern of the match. The turning point in the match developed when a cocky Jericho attempted to finish off a seemingly finished Rey with a running one-handed bulldog but Rey pushed Jericho off and Jericho flew into the turnbuckles. This provided Rey Rey an opportunity to make his mark on this match. Within minutes the tides had turned and 'The Biggest Little Man' was in control after the counterattack to Jericho's bulldog. Just after the first-quarter mark of the match, Rey perfected a snapmare takeover, running dropkick combo and attempted a successful pinfall; unlike many throughout the match from him and his opponent, Y2J. Yet again, it wasn't enough to keep down the cocky, but talented athlete in Jericho. Minutes had past in this entertaining match at Jericho had started to put up a challenge to the underdog.

Mysterio started to get a little overconfident with his dominance in the last few minutes and attempted a springboard leg drop from the apron and Jericho missed and then pounced on the hurt Mysterio, whom was punished for his overconfidence in the sneaky Jericho. Jericho immediately took advantage of the wreckage of Rey and hooked the leg; like every other pinning attempt in this match, it was unsuccessful. Jericho then gained the upper-hand in the match-up again and played it a little safer this time. He didn't get too cocky, although he did bring out the old 'cocky pin', which Rey Rey kicked out of. After taking quite a punishment, Jericho decided to put Rey away. As Rey was coming off the ropes after vertical suplex, he turned around into an oncoming Jericho who attempted the Codebreaker and.. Rey managed to hold onto the ropes and Y2J fell down to the canvas, without the victory. Rey then tried to steal the victory, something most would have thought Jericho would've done. Rey grabbed Jericho's legs and somersaulted over Jericho's body to apply the roll-up predicament, Jericho though, managed to kick out a little after the halfway mark of the match.

When both competitors got back up, Jericho was shocked when Rey surprised him with an immediate drop-toe-hold into the second rope, setting Jericho up for the dreaded 619. The crowd were on their feet as their fan favorite geared up to connect with the finishing maneuver; but was unsuccessful after Jericho moved out of the way and The Fan Favorite flew through the ropes. As soon as Rey had hit the canvas though, Jericho immediately locked him in the Walls of Jericho. The crowd were in shock as to how quick it came albeit Jericho most likely was as well. Rey's face, though it was covered by a mask etched horrible pain as Jericho kept it locked in. After 30 seconds of contemplating tapping, Rey finally gave up.. on tapping and started to move over to the ropes. The crowd were behind him all the way as he got closer and closer to his goal, the goal that will save him from the extremely painful situation he has got himself in. Rey finally reached the ropes after struggling but the damage had already been done. Jericho cockily walked around the ring as if to say, 'I'm waiting.'. The crowd booed this overconfident man whom is full of himself as Rey struggled to get back to his feet.

Mysterio turned around off the ropes and Jericho immediately continued the punishment on his opponent. Within the next two minutes Jericho had performed a clothesline to an oncoming Rey and looked as if he was going to finish off the helpless Rey. This time, as Rey got up, Jericho whipped him to the ropes and set himself up for an offensive maneuver on the rebound. Rey rebounds and Jericho is caught off-guard when Mysterio plants a kick to the gut of Jericho and continues running to the ropes behind Jericho, Mysterio rebounded off ad planted a dropkick into the back of Jericho that pushes him into the second rope. Mysterio has him all set up for the 619 and he runs towards the ropes and slides through, but this time, like the other, he's unsuccessful. He slides through but Jericho moved, luckily for Rey though, he landed on his feet, still a little off-balance. Jericho though, see this and immediately takes advantage of Rey's position and connects with a Codebreaker that he followed up with a successful pin.

Cut to Backstage

The camera shows backstage with AJ Styles, SmackDown!'s newest superstar beat up against a garage door. Kane is landing punches and stomps to the helpless AJ and retrieves a chair from nearby and smacks it over the head and face of AJ, busting him open. Kane continues to stomp away at AJ until numerous security guards and referees come and restrain the 7-Foot Monster. AJ is then seen lying in a pol of his own blood, bloodied and bruised.

Commercial Break

Cole: Well before the break, AJ Styles, our newest member of the SmackDown! roster didn't exactly get much of a warm welcome from 'The Big Red Monster' Kane.

Foley: God no, AJ Styles got the crap beaten out of him. Kane simply assaulted him backstage with punches and stomps and chairs and I'm sure anything else he could find.

Cole: The thing I'm really puzzled on is, Why? Why would Kane be doing this to AJ when all he did was try to help him.

Foley: I'm not sure, maybe we'll find out next week.

'Sexy Boy' hits and the crowd give a massive pop as 'The Heartbreak Kid' makes his way down to the ring for his SmackDown! debut.

Cole: The 'Show Stopper' is here on SmackDown! and his first match is definitely going to be Main Event quality.

Foley: No doubt, every single match Shawn Michaels has been in he has made it Main Event quality, he's one of the greatest of all time.


'Voices' hits to heat as 'The Legend Killer' hits and Randy Orton walks down to the ring.

Cole: Randy Orton. That's all I'm going to say.

Foley: This guy can act very sick sometimes and the way he acts, well I'm not much of a fan.

Match 4

Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton


The match began and both men stood in their respective areas of the ring with their game-faces on. Both men standing there, looking into the other's eyes; remembering their past. They soon moved into the center of the ring and locked up. Michaels gained the upper-hand first off when he locked in a side headlock onto the sick minded Orton. Moments later though, 'The Legend Killer' escaped the submission maneuver and landed a strong forearm shot to the back of Michaels. Michaels' face etched pain on it as another shot landed on his unprotected back. The pain just amusing the sadistic Orton. That was the first turning point of many in this match. Orton had gained control of the living legend in Michaels and performed many powerful, offensive maneuvers; gradually wakening 'The Show Stopper'. Within the next five minutes Shawn seemed out of it and finished. Orton took advantage of all the weak spots he had found on Michaels and already had planted Michaels with an inverted headlock backbreaker that ignited pain throughout the weakened back of Michaels and the pain etched all over his face again as Orton, with a sadistic expression on his face measured Michaels for the RKO.

Michaels countered the RKO attempt and lifted Randy up while he had Michaels around the neck and threw him back down to the canvas. Michaels dropped down to his knees in exhaustion and leaned over Randy for the cover but was unsuccessful when Randy kicked out at two. Michaels staggered back up to his feet and countered some offensive tactics from Orton to land numerous knife-edge chops to the vulnerable chest of Orton followed by a dropkick; this gaining some time to rest for Michaels. Michaels lent on the turnbuckles but Orton had recovered quicker than expected and grabbed Michaels by his hair and tried to smack Michaels' face on the top turnbuckle but Michaels stuck his foot out to block it and drove an elbow into the unprotected gut of Orton. Orton bent forward, nursing his stomach while Michaels ran to the ropes and rebounded, only to be greeted with a dropkick; another turning point in the match. Orton's textbook dropkick seemed to have done it but somehow, someway in usual Michaels fashion, HBK kicked out. Orton seemed frustrated by this and unleashed his frustration on Michaels throughout the next few minutes.

Michaels had copped a beating from Orton. Orton was completely in control after releasing his frustration on Michaels in a sick and twisted way; but still, it worked. Michaels was lent back in the corner and Orton guided him out to apply some more damage to Michaels but somehow Michaels got this energy inside of him that came from nowhere. He grabbed Orton's legs and pulled them forward, causing Orton to trip backwards. Michaels then locked in the inverted Figure-4 and Orton was screaming in pain; unbeknown to him, Michaels' energy was draining out the longer the submission was locked in. Orton tried drastically to get to the ropes but couldn't make it. Orton was driven to doing something he would be capable with, poking the eye of Michaels and landing some punches to the face. This released the hold and both men stayed down on the canvas, resting. Surprisingly, Orton got back up first and stomped away viciously at Shawn, never letting up. Orton then allowed Michaels to get back to his feet, only so Orton could finish him off. Michaels used the ropes as leverage to get back up and when he finally got back up to his feet..

He tried to go for another inverted Figure-4, but Orton ended up driving his knee into the face of Michaels, ruining his plans. Michaels flew up due to the impact of the blow and Orton leaped up to connect with the RKO and the victory.

'Number One' by Nelly hits and Charlie Cosgrove walks down the ramp and enters the ring.

Cosgrove: Ladies & Gentleman, without further ado, I give you.. SmackDown!'s newest member!

'The Game' hits and WWE Champion Triple H walks down the ramp with the WWE Championship around his waist.


Cole: Oh my god!

Foley: SmackDown! has two World Champions!


Triple H grabs a steel chair and sits in the middle of the ring, lifting his arms as if to say, 'More, more!'.

'Metalingus' hits and Edge runs down the ramp and slides in the ring and tries to attack Triple H before the bell but Hunter stands up and smacks Edge of the head with his steel chair. The crowd cheer as Edge collapses and Hunter places the chair on the canvas. He then picks Edge up and locks him in a double underhook position and plants him on the chair with a Pedigree. The crowd cheer as Hunter then yells at Charlie to make the bell be rung. It rings.

Triple H receives both the titles and poses in the corner holding both World Titles in the air. The whole crowd cheers as SmackDown! goes off the air.

Cole: Next week we better get some answers!

BM: Well I liked the Mysterio/Jericho match, it was written out well and was an up and down match...I thought Y2J would win lol. I also liked HBK Vs Randy Orton

WM: Kane Vs test wasnt that great, quite short compared to you others.

BP: Edge and John Cena's was the best promo, good promo not to long and they were quite in character...

WP: Not sure tbh, some were quite short and there werent to many.

AF: Good show, I like your old style tbh but this one isnt to bad. The main event was weird lol, I will be reading for answers next week definatly.I enjoyed the read but I have seen better from you...
