WWE Smackdown (Airing on SyFy):

* Chris Jericho‘s Highlight Reel opens the show with Ryback as his guest. Ryback talks about his recent change in attitude and how the fans don’t respect him. Teddy Long comes out to announce that Ryback will face Chris Jericho later tonight. Ryback reacts by attacking Jericho.

* Kofi Kingston b. Cody Rhodes

* It is announced that Triple H & Brock Lesnar will have a face-to-face confrontation on next week’s Raw.

* Backstage, Zeb Colter says that the next match is “Real American versus Affirmative Action.â€￾

* Jack Swagger vs. Big E Langston ended when Alberto Del Rio, who was on commentary for the match, threw a ladder into the ring. The ladder is used as a weapon as Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler join the brawl. Del Rio ends up standing tall, so he climbs the ladder and poses with the World Heavyweight Championship.

* Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan ended when The Shield and Kane interfered. Kofi Kingston ran out to aid Team Hell No in the resulting brawl.

* A taped segment airs in which Mark Henry shows off his strength by pulling two tractor trailers.

* Backstage, Randy Orton says he will send The Big Show a message at Extreme Rules.

* The Big Show b. Tensai. After the match, Big Show tried to hit Brodus Clay with a WMD, but Randy Orton ran out and hit an RKO on Big Show.

* Backstage, AJ makes fun of Kaitlyn for texting her secret admirer. Natalya interrupts, interested in finding out who the admirer is. The Great Khali puts on a fake mustache and Rey Mysterio mask in order to go “undercoverâ€￾ and find out the admirer’s identity.

* Chris Jericho b. Ryback by disqualification when Ryback crotched Jericho on the turnbuckle post. Upset over his loss, Ryback grabbed Jericho and threw him over the announce table to end the show.

I just hope Ambrose/Bryan got plenty of time. That looks amazing!

Lots of build, hope Kofi/Rhodes was a good match.

Sounds like a pretty watchable SmackDown yet again this week and as you said, a lot of build. Ambrose wrestling the singles match again which I have no problem with, but I don't know why they haven't put the other two members in a singles match yet. Worried about how they will go by themselves? I would like to see Rollins vs Bryan sometime soon. This Kaitlyn secret admirer thing is pretty interesting, wonder who it'll turn out to be. Probably someone awful that WWE will find so hilarious. Ending of the show sounds pretty meh. Wonder how long the match went though?

Also, I read another report which had a little more detail to the finish of the Ambrose/Bryan match:

Dean Ambrose beat Daniel Bryan by DQ. Seth Rollins interfered but Kane took him out. Roman Reigns then attacked Bryan. Kofi Kingston came out, made the save and hit Ambrose to get the DQ.

So could it be Rollins and Reigns vs. Hell No for the tag titles and Kofi vs. Ambrose for the US Title at Extreme Rules?

Could be the greatest thing ever.

Wrestlers really have no other reason to turn heel, don't they not?

Seems like a shitty Smackdown. Really doubt we're going to get a lengthy match from The American Dragon and Moxl... I mean... Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose. Those two have great chemistry though.

Really think this secret admirer stuff is just the Bellas playing a prank on Kaitlyn so they can lull her in and make a fool out of how "intense" she got with a guy she knows nothing about, especially with their little giggle-fit on Raw "behind the scenes".

No Cesaro :(

I did find it disappointing that they don't use Rollins or Reigns in singles matches. Next week = Ambrose vs Kingston, calling it now.
