WWE Smackdown Spoilers (10/5/12)

* Big Show opens SmackDown and talks about Hell In a Cell. Sheamus comes out and they have words. Sheamus offers his hand for a shake but Show walks out of the ring. Sheamus plays footage of Show losing his World Title in 45 seconds. Show comes back to the ring but Sheamus walks out on him this time.

* Darren Young and Titus O'Neil defeated R-Truth and Kofi Kingston in a tag team tournament match.

* Ryback squashed Primo.

* Layla defeated Alicia Fox with Eve Torres on commentary.

* Wade Barrett squashed a local wrestler.

* CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler is announced for tonight's main event.

* The Miz defeated Sheamus by DQ when Big Show came out and hit a WMD punch on Miz.

* David Otunga came out with Alberto Del Rio to brag about last week's attack on Randy Orton. This led to Booker T putting them in a tag match.

* Kane and Daniel Bryan beat Alberto Del Rio and David Otunga. Del Rio walked out on the match and Kane chokeslammed Otunga for the win.

* Tensai beat Big Show by DQ when Sheamus came out and hit Tensai with a Brogue Kick.

* CM Punk beat Dolph Ziggler in the main event.

Not a bad show other than the DQ finishes between Sheamus/Show but it makes sense really. I look forward to Punk/Ziggler the most.

Not really a fan of the tit for tat booking of Sheamus/Show but i'll let it play out and see what happens.

Surprised they didn't go back to giving Ryback a pair of jobbers so they could reaffirm his brute strength after the laughable failure on RAW with Tensai.

Apart from Punk/Ziggler, the rest of the show once again looks like crap.

I am really excited to see CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler that should be a great match. Overall this looks like a bad Smackdown though. So is Alicia Fox a face or a heel? Also Tensai finally gets a win.

Looks terrible. Barrett should have been in a feud by now. And the Big Show Sheamus match stuff looks stupid. Punk/Ziggler is the only thing worth it.

Barrett really needs a feud. Surprised they aren't trying to start him with somebody at this point, even if it's Heath Slater, former Nexus teammate.

Just shows how badly he's been booked, the guy was insanely over as the leader of Nexus, then they got turned into a stable of jobbers and Barrett has never recovered.

Nice promo by Show to start the show. That video packaging highlight Big Show's victims was excellently done.

Decent enough tag match, if not a tad predictable.

Bleh, standard Ryback match. They really need to put him in an actual storyline though, his whole shit is beyond tedious now.

Hmmm, Fox seems to be playing a face in this Divas match. Just can't get into anything with Layla, hope her push ends before long.

Wade Borefest, that's all that needs to be said.

So Sheamus/Miz was alrite and the DQ finish made sense. Putting over the WMD again, but also Show saying it was fun and games etc. Not too bad.

Alberto imitating Orton was probably the most entertaining thing he's ever done. Nothing to note about the tag match.

Nothing match between Tensai and Show, probably for the best actually.

Main event was good as expected, probably the only thing on the show tbh.

He made kids cry when he beat Cena to join Nexus, he had all the momentum in the world and he was the one who didn't capitalize properly. Sure Cena not knowing what being unemployed was and kept on showing up to work was something stupid. But Barrett has had two years to remain over and hasn't like an MVP.
