WWE have completed the signing of independent wrestler Brodie Lee (Jon Huber) to a developmental contract. Lee, who is a near-seven-foot-tall big man, is the latest wrestler who has worked for Dragon Gate USA to be signed by WWE.

Great move in my opinion, hopefully he can use his package piledriver as a finisher in WWE. Quite talented for a tall guy.

Thoughts?

I remember him from the age of the fall days in roh, i was not impressed by him. I hope he's gotten a lot better in the ring.

I don't mind this guy with a nice sloppy, mechanic gimmick I could see him putting over people in 6 months.

The guy is quite talented so I think it is a great decision by the WWE to sign him. I wonder who he will face in his debut LIVE match? I hope he doesn't turn out to be a low-card jobber, the guy has the potential to at least be an Upper-Midcard wrestler.

WZ can confirm that the report originating from PWTorch.com that Dragon Gate USA performer Brodie Lee has signed a developmental deal with WWE is false.

Lee is on WWE's radar, may be signed very soon, but has not been officially signed to any contract with them. Lee stands at 6 foot 8 inches and is known for his mobility for a man of his size.

Keep it right with WZ as we will bring you more on the signing and his future.

I checked the PWTorch website and they still haven't pulled the story.

It wouldn't surprise me if WWE were looking at him because of his size but I seem to remember him suffering a big injury late last year and I didn't realise that he was back yet. We will see what happens with this story in the coming weeks.

Read this elsewhere and alot of the people that commented said it was a great pick up as he's really talented for a guy of his size.

Skip to 1 minute in to see him in a beatdown. Certainly doesn't look short of mobility and I love that scruffy look he's got going on.

Update:

This past Saturday Night at a 2CW show in Rome, NY at the Kennedy Arena, Brodie Lee, the current reigning 2CW Champion, announced that he would be relinquishing his title because he is moving to Florida under a developmental contract with WWE.

The live crowd was really behind Brodie Lee, who also announced that the Rome show would be his last night for 2CW and that he would be making the move to Florida & FCW this week.

It was reported back in March that Lee, real name Jon Huber, had signed a WWE developmental deal, and it appears as if he will begin there very shortly.

Congrats to Brodie

Good on him for getting a WWE developmental deal. Wonder how much WWE will change his look when they send him to FCW, can't see them keeping his current homeless guy look.
