WWE Sign New Diva

WWE has signed a new Diva by the name of Kendra Smith, who has already reported to developmental facility NXT for training.Smith confirmed the signing on her official website by posting a few videos of her in the early stages of wrestling training under the headline, “WWE Diva Developmental Programâ€￾.

In addition, she posted a photo on Instagram of her recording studio shots for NXT’s show that tapes from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.

Not much is known about Smith in terms of how far along she is in her training, although she does list pro wrestling in her skill set alongside kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA/Grappling. She also looks to be an avid stunt woman who specializes in “aerial harness, air ram, green screen, and weapons.â€￾

Good to see them signing someone with an athletic background rather than signing them from a lingerie catalogue. From her background it sounds like she should be able to make the transition into wrestling, the physical work shouldn't be too hard for her especially if she has already done stunt work.

From the picture I can tell she's pretty good looking and the fact she's got some athletic background is a huge plus for me. Good looking and a good wrestler, that's all I need to be happy with a WWE Diva.

I know nothing about her but sounds like a good pick up already. Divas more athletically inclined tend to improve much more rapidly than the model types who stick around for years but just don't progress.

It's hard for me to care about the Divas when the WWE doesn't care enough to give them a decent amount of ring time.

They are building up the NXT Diva division a bit, maybe they are just waiting for the right time to start bringing them up to the main roster to actually promote the division.

With Divas it's different then with wrestlers. Divas come and go. One day she thinks she wants to be a wrestler, next day she thinks she wants to be an actress or model. That's the reason WWE needs to have some diva talent in store.
