Honestly if there ever was a time for WWE to bring Saturday Night's Main Event, it's now when they're at their most popular in decades.

I wanna say the 2006 attempt was a big disappointment but it's hilarious looking at the numbers it pulled now bc it's so much higher than they currently get, but I'm sure it was like out of the top 25 for the time

Wrestlevotes reported WWE would be announcing a prime time special on NBC, perhaps on a Saturday night in December. The deal getting SmackDown on USA included four prime time specials per year on NBC. We were told by WWE that the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event will be announced very soon so that would indicate this is accurate.
