WWE welcomes 2012 with a bang on Raw, as WWE Champion & "Voice of the Voiceless" CM Punk will defend his title against Dolph Ziggler. Having just come off the back of a 6 month long US Title reign, "The Show-Off" has set his sights on bigger things in 2012 as he attempts to win his first WWE title. Can the Superstar of the Year start 2012 with as big an impact as he made in 2011?

Also, after months of hype and discussion, the date we've all been anticipating has arrived.

Brodus Clay may finally debut.

Oh, and something about some viral videos may happen too I hear. But Brodus!

Also, we get ready to hit the road to the Royal Rumble. Who will stake their claim to victory between now and then? Who will earn the right to compete in this honoured tradition? We know Smackdown's Sheamus has made his intentions clear, will anyone from Raw step up? And will Kane continue his mind games with John Cena? Tune in tonight to find out!

Here's hoping it ain't Brodus Clay, lmao.

I wouldn't mind winning the belt Dolph Ziggler tonight, to be honest. I love Punk, but Ziggler's been stuck in midcard status quo far too long.

Maybe Swagger will (accidentally) cost Ziggler the match, setting the seeds for a WM between the two.

How did Ziggler get the shot? The big reveal of the 1/2/12 is enough for me to actually watch live tonight though! That match will be a bonus. Someone better hook me up with a stream later on! Btw, 200 on Y2J.

Ziggler won last week's gauntlet match against CM Punk, after Jack Swagger got eliminated by Punk.

im going to record tonights event on my Comcast tevo thingy...

I'm excited to see who it is, but in my own point of view, I hope it is not Jericho, only because he is not the type to use a promo like the ones we have been seeing. Now if I saw a countdown again, like he did before, that would be a different story.

I think whoever it is, will be someone we ALL least expect to see returning... It seems most reasonable to be Undertaker since WM is right around the corner, but, like several of you have said before, we all know Undertaker will come back for WM every year, so why waste a valuable promo?

wonder how this will play out...and also, Johnny Ace said last week that Brodus will be debuting, so lets see if that comes to fruition.

I think we'll get a fake bait n' switch tonight. First Undertaker will return. Making everyone think he's "1/2/12" but it'll be revealed he's only here to get his rematch with HHH. Then later on during the WWE title match, Jericho returns as the mystery surprise and attacks Punk.
