I said Regal like 6 posts ago but I would assume a McMahon or Austin would be announced. Was Cole ever GM for a day or anything?

Ah, yes you did. Missed that post.

I don't think Cole was ever GM even for a day. I know Jericho was, so he could theoretically take claim to GM spot, saying that he did hold it for one night. Paul Heyman was GM of Smackdown before, and I think that counts, so he has a chance. Bret Hart was also GM for a few weeks in 2010 so it could be him. Though I think he would have been announced as well.

If it could be someone who was not GM before, what about Arn Anderson?

Ryder won a battle Royal for it though. And he WAS assistant GM. So there for, Ryder does have more claim then most people, like it or not.

Heyman would cause shit haha. But I fear if Heyman was GM then the whole show would be based around Brock/Triple H and that would just be terrible in my opinion.

I think technically he was Commissioner Slaughter but yeah he's another choice.

Foley was commissioner too, I think. As was Michaels. I just hope its not a disappointment. Slaughter would be as we just saw him on Smackdown.

I would have no problem with Backlund. I like how they've been bringing back stars that were big, but not considered icons. And its people we haven't seen in a LONG time. Unlike their normal crop of "Legends."
