Raw WWE RAW 2nd June 2014 - LIVE Discussion: Payback Fallout *Spoilers*

The only thing I dislike is having an entire PPV dedicated for one match type. Like hell in a cell, and TLC, I miss the days where they would have those matches randomly on raw or smackdown
I don't.

Hotshotting gimmicks was just desperation when they started cooling off after their boom period. Really watered down the product, I'm glad WWE started going to reprogram audience mode after 07.

I mean only having one match on the card with the special stipulations. If were going to have MITB PPV, have at least two MITB matches

I just think WWE should do away with gimmick PPVs. Save them for blowoff angles where it makes sense.

Sure would save them from having to do major stunts every gimmick PPV and save that for something big.

Agree with this but I just don't think they have the ability to keep shit interesting across a couple of months where they wouldn't need gimmicks. I'd honestly dread the thought of this Cena/Wyatt feud for example without the last two gimmick matches.

Was I the only one to enjoy their Mania match? I thought it was fine, hard to please crowds just "ooh and ahh!!!!" over table spots tbh.

You're not alone there, I thought their match at Mania was actually pretty damn good... especially the environment that was created around the match with the Mania crowd. It was a "moment" match and I think it did wonders for Bray's character and showed how well he can play off the crowd.

As for Gimmick PPV's are concerned; I think it's okay to have a couple of them here or there, but they definitely need to cut a few of them out... I mean the Hell in a Cell match is no longer this spectacle of a match that happens on a rare occasion to settle a serious rivalry... it's basically just a match that happens once or twice a year no matter what. Same with the TLC PPV... I think the only gimmick PPV I'm okay with currently is Money in the Bank. I'd be okay with them bringing back prestige to older gimmick PPV's such as King of the Ring (if they'd bring it back) and also think a little harder about their Royal Rumble winners and put more weight behind their importance.

Will be on for RAW.

I expect rematches and probably some sort of qualifying matches for entry to MITB.

Evolution are out first.

Wonder if we get another rematch with Shield on RAW. Would pop.
