Like I said before, I’ve never minded the ad tiers. Most of my streaming services have the ad tiers, and the only reason why I upgraded on Netflix is because you can’t cast from your phone without the non-ad version but my God, who the hell would spend $30 on a streaming service with ads. Certainly not me.

They might get cute with it like have ads during play on the side of the screen or as part of the scoreboard like they have to do with soccer bc it's continuous play for 45 mins at a time. But every main American sport had built in breaks naturally that made ads easier and now they just can't be separated. Not saying it's right, it's just the consumer world we live in lol grouping WWE with sports instead of TV will probably not be good for you personally since you're not a sports fan, just in general, not even this service. Sports has a lot of aspects still around today I don't think you'd wanna tolerate with wrestling

To be fair if I’m watching a live program that I know is currently being broadcasted on actual TV I don’t mind it. When I was watching AEW on Max getting the commercials was fine. I just don’t want commercials on non-live content.

It makes sense for sports that already have the breaks built in, but if you’re gonna show advertisements to people, that’s how you make your money on television anyway so why are you charging people $30 is my only problem lower the price to like 15 and keep the ads.

I used to feel like this too until I saw the Triller or international Netflix feeds for AEW and WWE respectively and now I'm mad I don't get those too

But overall yeah, can even tolerate ads during TV shows bc they're designed to have them, or at least were for 90% of their history. What really pisses me off is ads during movies tho lol that's when I consider if I should get premium or pirate

Streaming services still aren't profitable so that's probably an aspect of it

I’m with you with Triller as well because one thing I like about them is during the matches they don’t cut away they don’t do PIP or take a break. They just continue the match like nothing is going on half the time I don’t even realize the US is in a commercial.

This is why I’ve been arguing not directly from my own perspective because I can get around it with a VPN, but I know people like blaze who this will immediately impact.

But yeah, that’s what I was saying before like you drop his news so soon after the Brock Lesnar thing it’s so weird. They have no concept of timing but yeah good for blaze though right now that he wasn’t watching but man if he wanted to come back because we were having a conversation in private the other day, we were talking about how we both watched WWE for so long. It really sucks that they put us in this position eventually he might wanna come back but like he doesn’t have $30 so this is fucked.

If i hadn't quit, I got TV with ESPN, so it wouldn't really impact me if I was still watching. But yeah lol it would be back to stealing the shows if I had to lmao

I believe ESPN had their quarterly earnings report this morning, hence the weird ass 6AM announcement.

And the $30 price tier is for the all of ESPNs channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNNews, ESPNDeportes, ACC Network, SEC Network ESPN U). I'm not saying that it is worth it for anyone here specifically, but that's why it's so much. That's similar to how much the cable company is paying ESPN for those channels per person. Cord cutters complain about the price of cable but to get what you want a-la-carte you're paying about the same rate if not more than you would to just get a cable bundle.

ESPN+ Still exists for them at $11.99 but it does not appear WWE is part of that. It definitely wouldn't be on the shows that are airing on regular television.

This is my problem. I’ve never complained about the prices of sports packages cause people pay them generally want them but you can’t add something as niche as WWE to something that’s got like eight channels on it. They should add it to the ESPN+ because that would be the same move as going from Peacock.

I would assume the lower tiers probably let you watch the WWE content, just not live while it's airing on ESPN. Which, not for me, but it wouldn't really be much different than Peacock in that regard.
