WWE NXT preview, Oct. 17, 2018: War Raiders challenge Undisputed ERA for NXT Tag Team Titles
A monumental edition of WWE NXT, headlined by a double main event of NXT Tag Team Champions Undisputed ERA vs. War Raiders and Nikki Cross vs. Bianca Belair, streams Wednesday on the award-winning WWE Network.
Will The War Raiders’ hunt lead to NXT Tag Team Title gold?
Having barnstormed Tag Team divisions around the globe, The War Raiders will now get their chance to take the throne in NXT when they challenge Undisputed ERA’s
Kyle O’Reilly &
Roderick Strong for the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Hanson &
Rowe have made their goal of world domination abundantly clear since arriving to the black-and-yellow brand in April. The modern-day Vikings have trounced every NXT team to cross their path, and following O’Reilly & Strong’s successful title defense against Moustache Mountain at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, they made their presence felt in a most thunderous way, attacking Undisputed ERA in a ferocious blitz.
The War Raiders haven’t let up since then, finding every opportunity to stymie Undisputed ERA’s attempts to impose gang-like beatdowns. O’Reilly & Strong, meanwhile, maintain that nobody, not even Hanson & Rowe, are in their league. What will happen when the two utterly destructive squads face off?
Nikki Cross and Bianca Belair ready for rematch
After their first one-on-one match ended in total bedlam but with no definitive winner,
Nikki Cross and
Bianca Belair will throw down again in a rematch this Wednesday on WWE NXT.
The ring couldn’t contain the action the last time NXT’s Twisted Sister and The EST squared off, resulting in a double count-out. However, the referee’s decision didn’t stop Cross from landing an unforgettable final blow as she leapt off the announce desk onto Belair and a pack of NXT officials in an utterly wild scene.
Their return match is all but guaranteed to be just as chaotic. Can Cross, who claims to hold the secret to what happened to Aleister Black, put that controversy aside long enough to focus on her “playtime”? Or will Belair still be un-de-feat-ed when the dust settles Wednesday on
WWE Network?
Can Burch & Lorcan continue their winning ways?
Beloved bruisers
Danny Burch &
Oney Lorcan, who are intent on getting back in title contention after a harrowing facial injury took Lorcan out of action for months, will bring their gritty, smash-mouth stylings to the ring this Wednesday.
In their first match back after Lorcan’s injury, the Brit-Am alliance stood united in defeating Brazil’s
Cezar Bononi & Adrian Jaoude last month. Can they achieve the same result this Wednesday?
Shayna Baszler looks to make a statement on the road to WWE Evolution
Shayna Baszler will take a break from the intense training of her WWE Evolution fight camp to re-enter the NXT ring this Wednesday.
As if The Submission Magician wasn’t already terrifying, her singular focus on regaining the NXT Women’s Title from Kairi Sane at WWE Evolution has turned Baszler into an even more dangerous opponent. The Pirate Princess remains convinced she can repeat against Baszler, while The Queen of Spades — who has enlisted Four Horsewomen teammates Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir to assist with her training — says she’s learned from her mistakes that cost her the title at
TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
Will the NXT Universe witness an even more vicious side of The Queen of Spades when she returns to action on
WWE Network?
