I thought it was a pretty good card. The pre show match was fine, thumbs up, glad Star and Ascension went over to get them over, with Ascension just joining Stardust.
The IC title match was real good, focusing on a body part and also had a heel cheat. Really liked it. Kevin Owens could be a good Intercontinental Champion.
Rusev and Ziggler had a decent match too, with more of the focus on them instead of an impending cat fight between Lana and Summer. Hopefully the finish leads to Rusev ditching Summer and becoming a big ol Bulgarian monster again. His pre match interview was great. I <3 Rusev.
The tag title match was fine, wasn't really tuned into the action, except at the beginning, as I liked the actual wrestling between the two, but I was mainly interested in Xavier playing the trombone. I've heard people talking about it perhaps being better with New Day being baby faces and Dudley Boyz being heels and I do wonder what that would be like because The New Day are obviously not booked to get real heat, but The Dudley Boyz can get real good heat, good heels. Either way, good set up for a rematch, maybe with interference banned. Somewhat can't see a tables match with the TLC pay per view being not too far away. One moment in the match I found weird: Xavier didn't get banned. Summer did. Same spot, but Xavier got to stay in the ring. Different referee and all, think it would've been an interesting to note by the commentators.
Divas match was real good with the focus of being on a body part and the selling. Really enjoyed this match and thought their leg work was better than the arm work done in the Intercontinental Championship match. Good stuff.
Six man tag team match was fine for what it was. I love Jericho, thought the match did well in elevating Strowman. I like the thought of a Jericho and Ambrose program, I don't see it happening yet. Maybe it'll build to Mania as Ambrose and Reigns still have unfinished business with the Wyatts?
I kind of don't want to see Rollins and Cena having another match anytime soon. Seems a little too familiar. Strong match, as expected. Some smart stuff in there I really liked, the little touches. Cena winning is fine with me. I'd like to see the US Open again although Cena has wrestled quite the load of the roster already.
Fine stuff with Rollins and Sting. Would've liked to see more of Sting's old stuff like no selling little stuff. Dug his bump through the announce table. He put a lot of effort in the match. Rollins did too obviously. Loved Sting getting a holy shit chant off of a simple dive off the top. Kind of like Shawn Michaels getting a big reaction from doing a halfway jump off of a ladder in his later years. That's how it's done son. I guess Sting did suffer an injury, I think they recovered well as I somewhat thought it was just Sting playing mind games.
I dig Kane coming back as the monster. I've been looking forward to seeing monster Kane vs chicken Seth Rollins. Should be good television.
