Not the subject I know but I really fucked with that style of filming TNA did for the backstage stuff.

Yeah they still do it today too, probably my favorite thing they've given us lol especially when the cameraman would hide real quick if they started walking towards them :lol

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense than the way others do when it’s obvious as fuck the camera is there and they are talking about stuff they shouldn’t be talking about. :lol so the cameraperson being sneaky is a great concept.

And got to that episode the other day! LOL

Wow, part of you goes "why did WWE air some of this in 2002? This might not have been the outstanding era I imagined it being." I've seen some awful stuff that the IWC would've killed in 2022.

And then you have segments like this, while it's silly, it's a classic lol

Yeah it’s crazy to think WWE did good shit like this and Taker/Brock in 2002

And then on the flip side, did shit like Katie Vick.

Well, Taker and Brock was fine, except for the Undertaker affair angle that was quickly dropped. That was the same time frame as Katie Vick that were main event storylines.

And then some of the diva storylines baffle me. Whoever's idea it was to have Hot Lesbian Action with Eric Bischoff's narration, only to be taken out by the 3 Minute Warning... wow.

That Eric Bischoff segment was amazing lmao
Did I just hear myself say... THREE MINUTES?!

Looking at WWE now it’s just insane now sex focused so many storylines were back in the day. Even Triple H/Kane which was a world title storyline was sex focused lmao. That had the Katie Vick segment.

Like, don't get me wrong... Some of it can advance a storyline or character. Look at my profile pic, the Rated-R Superstar. Having a "live sex celebration" in the ring helped get him over as Rated R.

Having two ladies fight in a lingerie pillow fight just to be taken out by two 300 pound dudes. What good does that do for characters?

I think it was honestly just to establish Eric Bischoff as the biggest douchebag imaginable.

I've been intrigued going through the 2002 episodes. I'm not sure what it was referencing, but I read online that these matches were "punishments" from the company. A divas match would have a couple good spots or actually wrestle, and the next time they're on TV, they're doing something degrading.

Credit to Fit Finlay. He was huge in the women's revolution we've come to know today.
