* WWE Champion CM Punk defeated World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus

* Santino Marella and Zack Ryder beat Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel in a tag team tournament match

* The Miz and Michael Cole were on commentary

Would have prefered Kidd/Gabriel to advance... Ah well, I will tune in for Sheamus/Punk tho.

Seriously? A shit/joke of a tag team passes a possible amazing tag team? I'm starting to lose hope already. Punk/Sheamus will probably be good.

Guess it would have been nice to have had at least three matches but then if Punk/Sheamus did go 40 mins that explains it.

I am not suprised Punk won as the WWE Title has always been treated as top dog above the world.

I have no idea why WWE have brought this show back. They simply have not got the roster they had back when the show was last aired. Lets hope that this does not turn out to be another 'Superstars' program where it's just used for the younger guys. I'm a bit concerned that with WWE having so much programming on TV that they risk losing track with storylines and feuds. On the other hand it's a good thing because it means more wrestling - albeit scrappy affairs. Perhaps they can afford to have more gimmicky matches on the show.

I share your concerns but to start with a ppv level main event like Punk/Sheamus and a tag tournment match is a promising way to kick it off. Also having Cole involved maybe hints that they want the show to be a big deal.

Why the fuck is Cole always on commentary? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy him on commentary, but he's almost literally everywhere. Kind of annoying, especially when they have other people that could possibly do it. Cole is like the John Cena of commentary, getting pushed over every other commentator.
