he has the best spear ive seen since forever....ever if that. and his superman punch is badass. His mic skills do need some work tho
The spear looks eh, doesn't drive enough force with his shoulder, more so his arm, that's not the point of a spear to hit with the arm. As for the superman punch, he misses half the time and it looks like shit. Add it all up with little to no mic skills, and bang, next jobber.
Seriously, though. His moveset isn't bad for a power guy. And most of the problems with his technical moves are the result of him still being rather green (he didn't do a lot of scientific wrestling since the Shield showed up) and can be fixed with experience and timing.
You have to remember, as much as he is so beloved by "everybody" in the IWC, he's only been on the main roster for about 18 months. And he didn't have a huge indy background, where he wrestled all over the planet for seven years before he went to FCW/NXT. He'll improve.

opinions vary....but he does go mid air with his spear....both feet off the floor and he looks like he just trained wrecked into it...and ive barely seen him miss this punch (if ever)

He misses the punch a lot. As for the spear, that doesn't matter, you need a driving shoulder hitting him, hence the name spear. It makes it looks more effective rather than cheap selling.

in the vid, you can see he does use his arm mainly but he's still driving with his shoulder. Plus, he elevates off his feet which makes it better.
Diving off with the feet makes it look bad IMO. Also he barely hits it with the shoulder, you never want to hit with the arm. He drives with the arm.
if anything, it's a mix of both. But he makes it look more impactful. I mean those spears look like he broke someone in half. The typical spear is overused any way. I mean look at Bootista's.
No, his spear still looks like shit. He never hits consistently with the shoulder, it's really just a selling job by the other person, much like his pathetic representation of a power bomb.
it does not. if it was just a selling job, Bootista's spear would always look amazing...which it doesn't. the powerbomb isn't fair as the opponent is thrown onto his shoulders....he doesn't even hoist them up...and Rollins and Ambrose are involved too.
