Proof? I looked at some of his other 2011 pics and he never looked this good.

I'd like him to come back as a serious character I mean Extreme Rules last year he's got the stuff to go places if he can get a serious tone going.

I still think that they missed a chance with him back when he was dating Beth Phoenix. They could have had her teach him wrestling moves and turn him into more of a wrestler. The skits would have been hilarious and it could have helped him transition into a more serious wrestler.

Even if he did those skits, he would've still had that goofy accent. Would have o do a complete gimmick overhaul like Hurricane Helms. But I doubt Santino even wants that, he does good merchandise sales with the Cobra and his tees. That character is going to ensure he gets appearances in WWE for nostalgia pops long after his career is over. Not a bad spot to be in imo, you don't see serious wrestlers making appearances.

I didn't realise you wanted the accent dropped as well. At this stage of his career he probably wouldn't want to risk it, as you said he would earn a decent amount from merchandise. He is setting himself up for life after wrestling already with his MMA/Wrestling gym that he recently set up.

WWE issues a text out that has announced:

"Sheamus has suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will require surgery, scheduled for next week. As a result, The Celtic Warrior is expected to be sidelined for four to six months, WWE.com has learned."

WWE.com have now added more details in regards to how the injury was suffered on the recent South Africa tour.

Sheamus’ leg started to heal, but he discovered his range of motion limited in his shoulder and he experienced sharp pains radiating down his arm, he said. During a pre-Raw workout, Sheamus felt another sharp pain in his shoulder and notified WWE medical staff.

“We performed a specialized MRI with a dye inserted to highlight the structures within the shoulder joint," said WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann. "Doctor Samson and I both reviewed the film, and it appears that Sheamus has a cartilage [SLAP] tear.”

As a result, Sheamus will undergo arthroscopic surgery next week to fix the tear, which doctors hope will offer him the best chance of recovery and the best outlook for a normally functioning shoulder.

Can't say I'll miss him but hey, sucks that anyone gets injured.

MRI results indicate that Sheamus has suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will require surgery, scheduled for next week. As a result, The Celtic Warrior is expected to be sidelined for four to six months, WWE.com has learned.

The injury occurred during the Money in the Bank All-Stars Ladder Match and was further aggravated over the following weeks. During that intense match, Sheamus was thrown off the top rope and sent crashing through a ladder at ringside, landing hard on his left leg and left shoulder.

“My mindset heading into Money in the Bank was to risk everything to get that WWE Title contract,†Sheamus told WWE.com. “That night I went out there putting it all on the line.â€

While it seemed as though his leg had taken the brunt of the impact, swelling to twice the size of his uninjured right leg, The Celtic Warrior soon found out that his battle scars from that night ran deep.

"I’ve never in my whole life had to have surgery,†Sheamus said. “I’ve always worked through pain. For the first time in four years, I’m going to be out of action.â€

He continued, “To say I’m devastated would be a serious understatement, but I’m determined to take this time to go home to Ireland to see my family, to see my friends, learn a different language, read a lot of books, and come back bigger, stronger and better than ever.â€

Intent to stay positive through his injuries, Sheamus emphatically said, “I’m determined to be a champion again, and when I come back I am going to rock this place like it’s never been rocked before!â€

Stay with WWE.com for more information about the status of The Celtic Warrior.

He won't really be missed by me, as I was starting to get bored of him. I'd like to see WWE turn him heel again once he returns.

He wont be missed. Now Smackdown can have a different ending for once as it seriously seems like for the last 2 years every SD ends with Sheamus brogue kicking someone and smiling.

Man Sheamus has had a rough couple months. Taking some time off is probably best for him at this point because he really lost all crowd support.

Love Sheamus, the guy is criminally underrated amongst the IWC and whilst initially it will suck for him to be on the shelf it could be a blessing in disguise. Much similar to Orton before winning the MITB match he just didn't have any direction and was just 'there' but much like Orton stayed popular amongst the fans in attendance. Taking time away will force creative to come up with a pretty big angle for his return and you can guarantee he will bust his ass for a Rumble return.

Big Show has been down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, rehabbing after a hip procedure. That's why he hasn't been back on TV yet.

Getting injured always sucks but if there was ever a time where it wasn't so bad to be on the shelf for a little while for Sheamus this is the time cause he wasn't doing anything and as said lost a good amount of crowd support. So it could do some good for him to have a refresh period and go from there.
