I just want people to realize that hype in the rasslin bubble isn't being heard by anyone outside of it.......New Japan was the hottest promotion for a few years and now, can't sell out a show in Texas.

AEW isn't doing high numbers......the only promotion I'm seeing for them in non rasslin venues is Chris Jericho having to explain the entire business to his friends on mainstream podcasts and radio shows and a commercial before Hobbes and Shaw.

Won't argue with you there. The fact they're going to be on primetime on TNT is what could potentially be threatening though. TNT gets a ton of viewership already. TNT shows popular series, movies and live sports which means a lot of potential for people to become exposed to AEW very soon. Of course it is important to emphasize that this all potential, not a guarantee. In the meantime, selling out venues that typically no one but WWE would dare to even rent out is not too shabby.

Basketball is probably their biggest single draw. And I think they place more emphasis on movies than TV. But they do have shows like Animal Kingdom, and they syndicate stuff like Smallville and Charmed as well.

I also guess WWE is bringing NXT to USA on Wednesdays because they definitely aren't concerned about AEW.

Those same forums you speak of banned me for having a different opinion. Most of those places the posters just agree and insult other folks for rep points and likes.

I'm sure AEW will be around for a long time. They're just not going to get the audience that left during the Russo Era. Trust me, I was excited at first, then a few things turned me away.

I only go by The EC on one other forum so how would you know that?

I find the notion that this place isn't just as guilty of hivemind pretty funny. It happens in pretty much any community.

Well it's more about a wrestling hivemind and I didn't say it applied to everyone here. Just like on any other forum, there are always going to be outliers from the general feeling.

I feel like any time there's a large group of people together there's a general consensus, but with us being smaller we have more variation in our views. That'll probably change as we get a few more members. It happens. Grim and I couldn't have further views on things, but he's my dude. Don't let that stuff get in the way.
