I'm sure he just meant that Punk will be breaking another record. Like again. Speaking of, next Monday will be his 379th day as champion.

Who wants to bet that Cena challenges Punk for the title in the main event to try and stop Punk from breaking his record?

If Punk retains he'll officially pass Cena's mark on Wednesday for Main Event.

I think that he will walk into the Rumble as champion and make it more than 400 days as champion. Incredible that after next week this will have been the longest WWE title reign of the modern era.

I think he'll pass Cena but the Rumble is set for The Rock to get the title and CM Punk to win it. It;s been etched in stone for a long time. The Rock isn't gonna wrestle CM Punk at the Rumble just to job to him even tho he should. Cena won't beat CM Punk next week The Shield will make sure to right the wrongs.

Surprisingly, semi-long US title reigns aren't uncommon these days. Santino had one before Cesaro. Ziggler had one in 2011. Daniel Bryan had one in 2010. Miz had one in 2009. Same goes for Kofi. Shelton had one over 200 days in 2008-2009. MVP just finished his 300+ one earlier that same year. Of course, MVP won the belt from Benoit, who held the belt for over 200.

Partly because the WWE doesn't do anything with their US champion, but most of these long reigns aren't really etched in people's minds like you'd think they'd be.

As noted earlier, WWE published an article on their official website announcing that CM Punk had underwent "emergency knee surgery" on Tuesday.

According to PWInsider, the said knee injury is legit and is not storyline. CM Punk has been working on a bad knee for quite some time now and was trying to tough it out since he has taken the responsibility of carrying WWE as their champion to heart.

At this time, there is no indication on what will happen with CM Punk and the WWE title match for the TLC pay-per-view.

Of course this has to happen now.

Man, that TLC main event is gonna need a fuck ton of overbooking now. The guy responsible for carrying the match is crocked, and the other is no where near good enough to handle the responsibility.
