Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

Basically this.

And in pro sports they can't even pre-determine the outcome, they actually have to play the games. In wrestling, they can keep the streak going forever and make it seem important. Or they could put a 1 at the tail end of it. I know which one I would choose.

Well if your the patriots who listened in on the other teams conversation.

Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

I've had this debate more times than I care to count but the abridged notes...

we're going on to the twentieth match in the streak, right? So this is the match he needs to get that special career ending on a high note record. If there was ever a time for it to end/could end, this would be the year. But it isn't going to happen if he faces Triple H. HBK in the corner or not.

That's all I'm going to throw into into mix this time, it never ends well when I try to debate Undertaker's streak...

Being a Pats fan disappointed live on Superbowl Sunday, I can tell you it's not the same thing... lol

Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

So what will wwe do.
1. Have the undertaker end his career on a high note
2. Have him win but his career doesn't end
3. Screw him out of everything he's worked so hard to achieve and end his career there
4. Have him lose and go out for revenge

I'm gonna go with #3

You always seem to throw WWE under the bus and think they're gonna go with the worst possible scenario. Sure, they have a history of fucking up big situations, but this is The Undertaker's Streak. They will NOT ruin it.

Out of those 4, I'm gonna go with #1.

Choosing to book Undertaker's streak to a close isn't fucking up a big situation. Here we are near 2012 and Undertaker hasn't been seen since last Wrestlemania. There's nothing WWE could do to make his match, whatever match he'll be in, seem in anyway big. Especially if we go with the notion he has to win. Yawn.

For the record I wouldn't go with any one of those options. I'd go with a classic; Undertaker came so close to achieving his goal of 20 straight wins but got stopped by a rising up and comer. Undertaker passes the torch to the new blood. Forging a path for a new generation of talent to continue in his legacy and possibly surpass him. That's just me.

Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

Only a veteran like Paul levesque is worthy of challenging mark calaway's streak

As much as I hate the streak and sometimes joke that I'd even like to see Santino end it, it would be wasted on someone already over.

Re: WWE Tidbits & Rumours Thread

Why do you hate the streak. Can't you respect mark calaway and all he's done for this business

Respecting a performer and hating a booking decision are two entirely different things. And if they're weren't, I'd respect Mark a lot more if helped put a young kid over and passed the torch as Mick Foley did to a once young buck in Triple H.

Come again?!

You earn veteran status. You don't walk into the business with it. And Foley was the one who cemented that for him when he decided to retire and wanted to work his last program with HHH.
