The worst part was Vince's ego getting in the way and having him hold the ECW belt, it destroyed whatever kind of credibility they were trying to give the belt with Lashley as champ. Probably even worse than that was Vince vetoing Shane's plans to build the brand up, similar to the original ECW. The PPV buys and ratings of the first few weeks of shows proves that's what the fans wanted, but Vince's Ego and negative view about things he didn't create has to stop something that even his own son was into.
