I received Summerslam & Survivor Series '11 for Christmas. I'm pretty sure I have more PPV's from this year than I do from 07-10 combined. Been a good year for PPV's, as well as DVD's in general.

I hated that Bret/Shawn documentary honestly. I like both wrestlers immensely, but watching those two grown men break down into tears like women over crap that happened nearly 15 years ago was absolutely cringe worthy.

WWE shipped 292,000 DVD units in December. The most shipped DVD’s for 2011 were WrestleMania with 236,000, Best of WCW Nitro with 142,000, Steve Austin’s DVD with 121,000, the History of WrestleMania with 120,000, Randy Orton’s DVD with 113,000 and the DX DVD at 110,000.

Even though WM27 wasn't the most highly rated show it just shows what a draw the PPV is selling nearly twice as many DVD's as all the other DVDs. Surprised not to see HBK/Shawn Rivalry DVD on the list. It also reminds me that I need to buy the History of WrestleMania DVD.

Have you watched any of it yet? Do you think that I should buy it?

I had expected it to sell 100k copies especially since the Stone Cold one was released later but still sold 121,000 copies. The other option is that this doesn't include Bluray figures and maybe the HBK/Bret DVD sold better on Bluray.

I watched it quite some time ago, probably around the time it came out and I found it pretty good. It was very interesting and was good that Vince McMahon done most of the documentary. From what I recall, it was more focused on the older Manias but still had a fair bit from the recent ones.

It would be good to hear it from Vince himself how he came about setting it up and how close he actually came to bankruptcy. I have read stories about it in the past but to hear the entire story from Vince and those around it would be great. If I can find it on sale I will probably pick it up.

Why don't you torrent it off XWT?

I prefer to buy DVDs so that I can watch them on tv rather than on my computer.

Ah yeah, I'm more like that too but I don't mind watching things on the PC. I'm used to it watching streams and latest eps of TV shows each week on it.

It's a good plus to be able to physically show off your collection, too.

Yeah, that's true but I don't have the money for all these DVDs coming out like the docos, PPV DVDs and what not. It is good to collect them and they look much better legit and with covers.

I actually did a clean out a couple of years ago and for reasons that I can't remember I threw out some old wrestling DVD's that I didn't watch anymore. Now I regret having done that but I still have plenty stored in my cupboard.
