Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn had no idea they were going to be called up to the main roster.
The current NXT Women's Tag Team Champions were selected by SmackDown on the first night of the WWE Draft on Friday. They spoke with
Busted Open Radio on Monday about the experience.
"I've been saying it for days, I still don't feel like it's quite settled in yet," Fyre said. "We had no idea, no idea that we were going be drafted."
"As you could tell by our eyeballs going [opening wide]," Dawn added.
"But it means so much. We've both worked really, really hard for this for a long time. Getting things like this, you know you're being appreciated. It just means the world," Fyre continued.
"The timing of it, with Stand & Deliver being a month ago and that was our second TV tag match. We've only been together a short time," Dawn said.
Fyre & Dawn feuded with each other in December and January on NXT programming. Their program culminated in an Extreme Resolution match on the January 3 episode. They began teaming with each other the following month on house shows and defeated Fallon Henley and Kiana James for the belts at Stand & Deliver.
Fyre & Dawn have one more match left in NXT before joining the SmackDown roster. They will defend their tag titles against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on Tuesday night.
