Is his show good? He actually sounds great. How was he so horrible as the TNA color commentator?
I've not listened to a full episode yet. But the clips I have heard on youtube are actually quite insightful and he's pretty self aware about his standing in the business. I'd wager that it is worth checking out

After Rich Brennan got released. Brennan's wife went off to the (wrestling) media that Phillips politicked to get Brennan (and supposedly the other male announcer who got let go) fired. Basically: Brennan and the other guy were fans growing up who wanted to earn their dues ala say Michael Cole or JR. Phillips is not a childhood wrestling fan and apparently has no problem cutting people by the ankles to get ahead.

Rose Rhodes Barrett (if he continues and doesnt do movies) and Sandow being in a promotion at the same time could help a compuoy like TFA. They don't pay their talent, so I doubt they go there....but all 3 are really huge fan names they could get to grab views for their online shit IF THEY DID IT ONLINE THROUGH THEIR OWN WEBSITE INSTEAD OF ON TV FFS.

Why do companies like TNA not do a TNA online to nations with views under a certain variable? Sell commercials, they will watch them. Sell ad rights on the ringside, sell plugs from your stars and people. They are pretty low as it seems, why not be profitable when you are in a warehouse with plenty of space to put in servers? Honestly.

Adam Rose has asked for and been given his release
Wow, yet another guy not really used to his potential. Maybe if they let him be a wrestler more than a gimmick he could've gone somewhere.

He was a wrestler as Leo Kruger. Ironically, he went to management to become Adam Rose. It was all his idea.

I had no problem with the Adam Rose gimmick. The problem was that he was all gimmick, all the time. He needed to do more moves than just slap his opponent's ass, prance around, and then hit the party foul. If he would at some point stop the goofy act and actually start taking the match seriously it would've given him some character to go along with the gimmick. Bo Dallas and Fandango could seriously benefit from that same philosophy, to be honest.

It was dead weight. If a wrestler can't be used to their full ability, they should be released. There's no reason for WWE to turn their guys into jobbers, unless they want to use the guys popularity to convert to a new wrestler, which doesn't happen.

I don't think Tom has any pull in the WWE. At the least, he might've talked smack about them to management, but I don't think anything he said had any real impact on Rich and the other guy being let go.

Are we going to ignore that some of the most successful men in this business were all gimmick?

One does not need pull to politic tho. All that is needed is for Tom to say the right thing in the right company to plant the seeds so to speak. And that's how you climb the political ladder.
