According to the PWinsider, more relases, both main roster and NXT are expected this week.
NXT talent have also been told that there are no new spots opening up on the main roster after these releases, but that the WWE has been operating over capacity and needs to drop names.

Yea no shit lol

I've been wondering for a while when the NXT rubber would meet the road. They've been running guys through there and calling them up to the main roster really quickly the last couple of years... it was only a matter of time before the main roster filled and guys had to start staying in NXT for much longer periods of time.

Combining that with the main roster not dropping people as often as they used to as well (they seem to prefer letting people resign willingly rather than firing people outright these days). It was bound to bottle up eventually

Eden (Cody Rhodes' wife) has left the WWE. Citing being offered another opportunity outside of the wrestling business.

Good for her on having a new job already lined up.

In other news, the former Cameron appeared on the Austin podcast and said that she wants to prove herself to wrestling fans, but that wrestling anywhere else than the WWE is beneath her....Well how are you going to make that work, girl now that they fired you?

Are we going to ignore that some of the most successful men in this business were all gimmick?
Some wrestlers are able to climb to ladder on gimmick alone, but once they reach the top at least some character comes out just due to the amount of exposure.

Just curious, but who would you consider some of these all-gimmick wrestlers to be?

I should start of by stating that I think gimmick and character molds into one, and are not fully separate.

As for guys who were almost if not all gimmick
Hogan
The Rock (good wrestler, but it was the gimmick that catapulted him to the top)
Austin (see Rock)

Would these three have made it to the top without their gimmicks to help catapult them towarsd stardom?

One would think that the same wrestling fans that criticized her, respect the independent scene and her saying that the indies are "beneath her" is just going to piss off those same people even more.

I have no problem with her decision to skip the indies, and I didn't really have a problem with her from the beginning. Just seems odd to me, how she's going to get the marks on her side?

- ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that former WWE Superstar Adam Rose will be using the name "Aldo Rose" on the independent scene, and that he is now accepting independent bookings. Rose, who will still be portraying a party boy character, can't appear on television or any internet pay-per-views until the late summer. He said of his return outside of WWE, "Ain't no more PG in this party."

Apparently Alex Riley is kept in complete media lockdown as part of his release. WWE confiscated his twitter and has him blocked from making media appearances.

What sort of mad man did he morph into?

I'm pulling for Rose. He's really talented, and if the party gimmick was played right (no bunny, heel, vulgarity) it could've turned into something better.

In all these releases, did Miss Wrestlemania get released too, or just Santino?
