The World Heavyweight Championship picture was heating up after the No Mercy pay per view event. Wanting the situation resolved the General Manager of Tuesday Night Smackdown aka Daniel Bryan announced a huge title match for Survivor Series. A fatal four way elimination match featuring the quartet of Dean Ambrose(c), AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton.​
