At Spring Stampede both John Cena and Samoa Joe took part in a four way match for the WWE US Championship. It looked like Cena had the match won after hitting the AA on Joe only to be pinned by Shinsuke Nakamura(c). In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 35, Joe would repeatedly attack Cena, leading to SD GM Paige making a match featuring both men for Mania. ​

An enraged Dean Ambrose was honestly upset at losing at Spring Stampede more than anything. But he didn't blame himself he blamed Roman Reigns and set his sights on him following the event. The two men brawled so much so that RAW GM Kurt Angle announced a Loser Leaves WWE match between the two for WrestleMania.

At WrestleMania 35 the winner of the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble match Seth Rollins walked into the event as a challenger. He ended up walking out as the new WWE Universal Champion after he defeated then champion Finn Balor in the main event. On the Night After Mania episode of Monday Night RAW, Balor told Rollins he would see him at MITB for his rematch.​

KOFI KINGSTON WITH NEW DAY(C) VS RANDY ORTON
Kofi Kingston captured the WWE Championship which also happened to be the first world championship of his WWE career at WrestleMania 35. By defeating then champion Daniel Bryan in a one on one match. After the former champion aka Bryan was traded to Monday Night RAW in the WWE Draft. Kingston would find himself with no instant challenger to his title. However he found himself attacked by a man who was pissed off for not qualifying for the Men's MITB Ladder match in Randy Orton. Kingston asked SD GM Paige to make the match for MITB and she did.​
