Summerslam pre-show summary:

Number one contender for the Intercontinental title: Jinder Mahal vs Cedric Alexander

Match summary: Jinder Mahal tries to use his power to overcome Cedric Alexander but the young competitor is too much for him. Cedric picks up the win hitting Jinder with the Lumbar Check and becoming the number one contender for the Intercontinental title!

Winner via pinfall: Cedric Alexander (8:43)

Fatal 4 way Women tag team titles match: Fire and Desire (c) vs Team Kick vs Twisted Sisters vs The Real Horsewomen w/Shayna Baszler

Match summary: A bit of a wild and chaotic affair between these 8 women. Shayna is noticeably watching at ringside with a bit of a scowl on her face. The commentary team reminds the fans that she lost her Women's title last night to Dakota Kai. And that plays into the finisher as she distracts Dakota Kai by sneak attacking Tegan Nox! This takes them out of the match but the Real Horsewomen fail to take advantage of this as the Twisted Sisters catch them with WRITTEN IN THE STARS! However Mandy Rose tagged herself in whilst Isla Dawn was setting up the move on Marina Sharif! Fire and Desire clear the ring of the Twisted Sisters as Mandy makes the cover and picks up the win allowing Fire and Desire to retain the titles!

Winners via pinfall and still WWE Women's tag team champions: Fire and Desire (10:23)

Raw tag team titles match: The Club (c) w/AJ Styles vs Lucha Dragons

Match summary: AJ Styles makes his way out with the Good Brothers for this match but he chooses to stay on the outside and do nothing just watching his boys. The Lucha Dragons as you would expect try to use their pace and Lucha skills to overcome The Good Brothers. As the match is going on we can see The Street Profits watching on a TV drinking from their red cups and having fun. In the end, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows pick up the clean win hitting Sin Cara with the Magic Killer!

Winners via pinfall and still Raw tag team champions: The Club (7:11)

Summerslam:
August 11th
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The show starts with a video package based around the above song. It focuses on the main matches tonight and shows all of the competitors at Summerslam. The package comes to an end as we cut to the arena as Big Show and Michael Cole welcome us to the show as it seems we are starting the show with a Raw match. They hype up the card tonight as Michael Cole makes a joke about Jerry the King Lawler always calling Canada “Bizarro World”.

*COMBATIVE*

A mixed reaction from the more smarky crowd tonight as Oney Lorcan makes his way out but he is noticeably not alone tonight. As he is walking to the ring he is joined by Danny Burch. The commentary team reminds us of what happened on the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw. Both men look focused but it is only Oney Lorcan competing tonight. He steps into the ring as Danny Burch stands on the outside of the ring looking to support his tag team partner in the biggest match of his career tonight.

*BOOYAKA 619*

A loud pop from the live crowd for the ever-popular Rey Mysterio as he makes his way out with the Cruiserweight title proudly around his waist. However, he is also not alone as Humberto Carrillo makes his way out with a big smile on his face. Both members of the one twos look annoyed at this development as Big Show puts over Rey being a veteran and he realized Oney would bring his friend to ringside tonight so he brought his own friend to as well. Rey Mysterio does his usual touching mask routine with the kids in the front row before stepping into the ring for the usual title introductions. Once the introductions are done the referee calls for the bell getting this match underway!

Cruiserweight title match: Rey Mysterio (c) w/Humberto Carrillo vs Oney Lorcan w/Danny Burch

As soon as the bell rings Oney Lorcan charges as Rey Mysterio and clocks him with a stiff European uppercut! Rey Mysterio is rocked by this as Oney presses him with several hard chops as he looks to batter Rey Mysterio early on in this match. Oney gets Rey towards the ropes but Rey ducks under one of the chops and runs off the ropes as he hits Oney with a dropkick planting the number one contender. Rey makes the cover 1 Oney Lorcan kicks out!

It is going to take a lot more to keep Oney down as Rey looks to run off the ropes again but as he comes back off the ropes Oney hits him with the kitchen sink stunning Rey! Oney grabs hold of Rey and sends him into the corner of the ring as he looks to go to work once again attacking Rey with several hard chops. Humberto on the outside cheers Rey on whilst Danny shouts some words of encouragement to Oney Lorcan himself.

Oney keeps chopping Rey in the corner until he gets to the count of 4. Oney backs away at the request of the referee but charges at him looking for a backsplash... Rey jumps over the ropes dodging Oney! Rey quick as a flash jumps off the ropes hitting a slingshot springboard hurricarana sending Oney across the ring. Rey is using his unique agility to survive Oney's hard strikes in this match!

Oney gets back up and charges at Rey Mysterio looking to once again clock him with an uppercut but Rey has it scouted and catches him with an arm drag! Rey Mysterio looks to keep the pressure up but the challenger rolls out of the ring getting boos from the crowd. He takes a moment to talk to Danny Burch as he seems to be reassessing his strategy. Rey Mysterio waits in the ring for Oney to make his way back in as the veteran smiles which angers Oney.

Oney takes a moment looking refocused as he slides back into the ring as Rey charges at him. Oney goes a lariat but Rey ducks underneath his arm and bounces back off the ropes hitting a hurricarana! Oney lands on the ropes in the 619 POSITION as Rey looks to hit it... but Danny Burch trips him up getting loud boos! Humberto Carrillo as soon as this happens goes over to confront Danny Burch who just snarls and stares at Humberto daring him to do something about it.

Back in the ring, the referee gives Danny Burch a stern warning as Oney Lorcan looks to take advantage and grabs hold of Rey laying into him with several strikes. Oney is now in complete control of the match battering Rey Mysterio with a series of strikes. Oney gets Rey Mysterio in the center of the ring as he starts to work over the legendary high-flier as he puts him in a stranglehold in the center of the ring!

Just as Rey looks like he might escape from the hold, Oney switches up and plants Rey with a neckbreaker as he makes the cover. 1 2 Rey kicks out! Oney though reacts by grabbing Rey by the chin and clobbers him with a few open-handed chops to chest whilst holding his chin. He finishes up the flurry with an European Uppercut dropping Rey once again as he makes the cover! 1 2 Rey kicks out!

Oney grabs hold of Rey as he looks to carry on his attack going for one chop too many as Rey counters with an armbar as he looks to take away some of Oney's hard strikes! Oney is in pain as he tries to escape the hold but can't quite do it. Instead, he gets his feet on the ropes and forces the rope break! Rey keeps the hold on till 3 as Oney grabs his arm which is slightly in pain after the armbar.

Rey Mysterio looks to keep the pressure up as he sends Oney back towards the center of the ring with a hurricanrana. He then springboards off the ropes and connects with a crossbody as he hooks the legs. 1 2 Oney kicks out! Rey starts laying into Oney with several kicks as Rey takes control and makes another cover 1 2 Oney kicks out! Rey grabs hold of Oney looking to lift him off the mat but Oney counters with a stiff punch to the jaw.

Oney grabs hold of the champion and plants him with a belly to back suplex sending Rey across the ring. Oney takes a moment to line Rey up as he looks for a lariat but Rey catches the charging Oney with a dropkick the face! Rey once again is one step ahead! He makes the cover 1 2 Oney kicks out! Rey grabs hold of Oney as he lifts him off the mat and sends him into the ropes with a hurricanrana as he gets Oney in position for the 619!

He gets ready to run off the ropes but this time Danny Burch pulls his friend out of the ring to boos from the crowd! Rey Mysterio sees this as he runs so switches up and looks to hit the pair with a SUICIDE DIVE... Danny Burch pulls Oney out of the way causing Rey to crash and burn! Humberto seeing this comes over to confront Danny Burch as he looks to attack him but Danny catches the youngster with a nasty headbutt!

Danny grabs Humberto and sends him into the barricade with an Irish Whip. Danny is not done there as he starts brawling Humberto by the ramp! Meanwhile, Oney Lorcan looks to take advantage of the situation and hits Rey with several chops whilst he is on the barricade! Oney then Irish whips Rey Mysterio into the ringside apron sending his back bouncing off it! Oney then grabs Rey as he looks to go for a HALF AND HALF SUPLEX ON THE APRON!

However, Rey fights back and sends Oney into the steel steps with a hurricanrana! Oney's head bounces off them as Rey takes a moment to get him back into the ring before climbing to the top rope. Rey steadies himself as he flies off looking for a senton but Oney has the wherewithal to get his knees up countering Rey! Oney grabs the stunned Rey and connects with a bridging German suplex 1 2 Rey kicks out!

Oney at this point is getting frustrated by the fact Rey refuses to stay down as he deadlifts him off the mat into the air and slams him down with a GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB! Oney makes the cover 1 2 Rey kicks out again! Oney looks angry as we can see him argue with the referee before going back over to Rey and starts smashing him in the head with numerous hard uppercuts as he wants to make sure Rey stays down this time! Oney makes the cover once again pressing his arm into Rey's face 1 2 Rey kicks out!

Oney looks furious that Rey had the gall to kick out as he looks over to the top rope. Meanwhile, on the outside, Danny Burch has taken down Humberto Carrillo and turns his attention back to the ring as he sees his friend getting ready to end this. Oney takes a moment as he is setting up for a BLOCKBUSTER! Rey though recovers quickly and sprints up to the top rope connecting with a dropkick to the chest staggering Oney! Rey isn't done as jumps up off the ropes and connects with AN AVALANCHE MYSTERIO-RANA AS HE HOOKS THE LEG MAKING THE COVER!

Oney kicks out!

Rey Mysterio takes a moment as he is clearly a little shocked Oney was able to kick out from that big move as he thinks about what he is going to do next. At this point, Danny Burch knows his friend is in trouble and looks to climb onto the apron as he tries to distract the referee. However, Humberto Carrillo has recovered from Danny's attack and pulls the Brit down from the apron and hits him with a hurricanrana! He doesn't stop there as he hits Danny with a STANDING MOONSAULT!

Back in the ring after that distraction, Rey grabs hold of Oney, lifting him off the mat but Oney hits him off with a jumping enzugiri sending Rey down to the mat! Oney then looks to end this as he is still feeling the effects of the avalanche mysterio-rana but he takes Rey down with a SPEAR! Oney, however, doesn't make the cover as he looks to make sure Rey stays down for good this time.

Oney drags him up off the mat as he hits him with a POWERBOMB! However, Oney isn't done as he lifts him up for another as Rey suddenly counters with a CANADIAN DESTROYER (which the commentary team calls the Mexican destroyer)! Oney Lorcan is down for the count as Rey Mysterio makes the cover!

Rey Mysterio retains his Cruiserweight title!

Winner via pinfall and still Cruiserweight champion: Rey Mysterio (8:45)

Rey Mysterio gets to his feet as Humberto Carrillo joins him in the ring as the pair look to celebrate his victory tonight. The commentary team put over the performance Oney put in tonight but in the end, the legend Rey Mysterio was too much for him to overcome. Rey is passed his Cruiserweight title as he celebrates with his friend in the ring. Meanwhile, on the outside of the ring, we can see the One Twos retreat up the ramp looking angry as Oney fell just short tonight.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut backstage as we see Renee Young is stood ready for an interview.

Renee Young: What an exciting Cruiserweight title match we just saw. However, my guests at this time will have their eyes on the Universal and WWE title. Please welcome the Ungovenables.

Zelina Vega, Mr. Money in the Bank Andrade Cien Almas, and Cesaro all walk into the shot with Andrade and Cesaro in nice suits whilst Zelina is dressed for a night on the town.

Renee Young: Now Zelina Vega, everyone knows why you are here tonight since neither of your clients has a match. My question is which match are you paying closer attention to?

Zelina lets out an evil smirk before responding.

Zelina Vega: As a businesswoman, both matches have our equal focus because my client will cash this in when it is best for us.

Renee Young: My next question is what did you think of Paul Heyman's comments on Monday Night?

Zelina is no longer smiling as Cesaro steps forward.

Cesaro: Paul Heyman is a known liar and charlatan.

Zelina Vega: Exactly. My client Cesaro knows Paul Heyman very well after his mistreatment during their time together. So, Paul Heyman, we don't care about your warning because if we choose to cash this in, it doesn't matter if it's on Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre or Kofi Kingston, Andrade will be walking out the champion.

Andrade Cien Almas steps forward as he lifts his Money in the Bank briefcase in the air as he pats it showing it off to the camera.

Andrade Cien Almas (in Spanish): Es solo cuestión de tiempo

Andrade Cien Almas lets out a smile as he walks off with Zelina Vega and Cesaro leading the way.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut back to ringside as the commentary team has changed to Corey Graves and Byron Saxton ahead of the next match. They both speculate if the Ungovernables will cash in their briefcase on either the Universal or the WWE champion later on tonight.

*ONE AND ONLY*

Ricochet makes his way out to the ring getting a decent pop from the live crowd. The commentary team reminds us of the issues between Daniel Bryan and Ricochet over the last few weeks that led to this match taking place. Ricochet once in the ring soaks in the reaction from the live crowd ahead of a big opportunity against a multi-time WWE champion.

*FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES*

Cheers from the live crowd due to being in a smarky location as Daniel Bryan makes his way out with Erick Rowan holding Bryan's hemp WWE title up for him whilst Daniel Bryan has a microphone in hand.

Daniel Bryan: Cut my music, CUT MY MUSIC! I have something important to say!

The people in the back do what Bryan says as the Eco-warrior carries on walking down the ramp.

Daniel Bryan: Now normally I have to deal with Americans who pollute the environment and they are almost the worst for it.

Cheers from the live crowd for the insults towards America.

Daniel Bryan: But you people are just as bad!

And now the crowd starts booing Bryan as he carries on his walk down the long entrance ramp.

Daniel Bryan: You think you are better than Americans when it comes to recycling and air pollution but you're nowhere near good enough!

The cheap heat is working as Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan are now at the bottom of the entrance ramp. Ricochet in the ring meanwhile has nearly had enough of listening to Bryan.

Daniel Bryan: You people have gotten sloppy and complacent. You people need to do more and I can help with that by...

Ricochet has heard enough as he sprints towards the ring post and FLIES OVER IT WIPING BOTH DANIEL BRYAN AND ERICK ROWAN OUT! This gets loud cheers from the crowd as Ricochet grabs hold of Bryan and sends him into the ring post before sliding him into the ring! He steps inside as the referee calls for the bell and this match gets underway with a bang!

Ricochet vs Daniel Bryan w/Erick Rowan

Ricochet looks to keep the pace up as he charges at a rising Daniel Bryan and catches him with a single leg basement dropkick to the face as he makes a cover 1 Daniel Bryan kicks out! Even after the fast start, it is going to take a lot more than that to keep Bryan down for a 3 count. Ricochet starts laying into Bryan with a couple of kicks before he lifts Daniel Bryan off the mat hitting him with a Northern Lights Suplex!

Bryan back bounces off the mat as Ricochet sends Bryan towards the corner of the ring with a dropkick! Ricochet keeps the high pace going as he hits him with an uppercut in the corner. He hits him with two more before connecting with a hesitation dropkick! Ricochet tosses Daniel Bryan out of the corner and climbs to the top rope as he dives off hitting Bryan with a frog splash! 1 2 Bryan kicks out!

Ricochet is all over Daniel Bryan early on as the Eco-warrior is struggling to keep up with the high-pace of Ricochet. Ricochet meanwhile looks to deadlift him off the mat and hits him with a DEADLIFT POWERBOMB! Ricochet shows off a surprising amount of strength as he makes the cover 1 2 Bryan kicks out! Back on the outside, Erick Rowan is on his feet as he starts to watch from the ringside area maybe a little worried about Bryan in these early stages?

Ricochet notices this but chooses to keep his focus on Bryan in the ring. He makes his way over to Bryan looking to grab him as Bryan counters with a shock roll-up! 1 2 Ricochet kicks out! Bryan nearly outsmarted Ricochet here! Both men are back to their feet as Bryan looks to take advantage but Ricochet counters him with hurricanrana sending him into the ropes. Ricochet isn't done though as he puts his arm into the air and hits a Tiger Feint kick to the head of Bryan! An homage to Rey Mysterio!

Erick Rowan seeing this tries to wipe out Ricochet on the apron but Ricochet using his insane agility to jump over Rowan's arm! He then springboards off the ropes wiping out Rowan with a CROSSBODY! Ricochet gets to his feet getting cheers from the crowd as he climbs back onto the apron as he looks to go back on the attack but Bryan pulls his head down onto the ropes rocking Ricochet!

Daniel Bryan grabs hold of Ricochet and brings him into the ring with a thud as the Eco-Warrior for the first time this match looks to take control. As Ricochet lands on the mat, Daniel Bryan lays into Ricochet with several kicks. He batters the chest of Ricochet before finishing it off with a roundhouse kick to the head! Bryan makes the cover 1 2 Ricochet kicks out! Bryan looks a little more confident now as he grabs hold of Ricochet and looks to start hitting him with his signature MMA elbows.

He keeps Bryan on the mat as he looks to run off the ropes for added momentum and catches the rising Daniel Bryan with a rolling lariat! Ricochet makes the cover 1 2 Bryan kicks out! Ricochet is keeping a high pace up so far this match as he charges at Bryan as he gets to a seated position and hits him with a bicycle kick! Ricochet once again makes the cover 1 2 Bryan kicks out!

Ricochet once again looks to lift Daniel Bryan off the mat, as he goes for a vertical suplex but Bryan counters with a kick to the head forcing Ricochet to drop him! Bryan gets to his feet and connects with an enzugiri as he grounds Ricochet! Bryan takes a moment to get his breath having struggled with the high-flier early on. Bryan though is a master submission specialist and decides to put that to use as he starts trying to work over the right leg of Ricochet!

Ricochet though is well aware of what Bryan is about to do and responds by kicking him off repeatedly with his free left leg! Ricochet looks to follow up with a discus elbow to the face but Bryan counters as he grabs hold of the arm as he tries to take down Ricochet and go for the YES LOCK! Ricochet though fends Bryan off once again! Ricochet then looks to go for an enzugiri of his own but Bryan catches his left leg and hits a dragon screw leg whip!

Bryan has a rage in his eyes as he looks to keep hold of Ricochet's left leg and hits another dragon screw leg whip! He isn't done there as he connects with a third one slamming Ricochet's leg down to the mat with a thud! Bryan gets to his feet letting out an evil smile as he gets ready to go to work on the legs of the one and only. Bryan makes his way over to the left leg of Ricochet and just viscously stomps on it!

Ricochet yells in pain as Bryan grabs hold of Ricochet and starts going to work on him with several MMA elbows! And this time Ricochet is unable to fight back. Bryan really lays into him hitting him with 7 or 8 elbows to the head before dropping him to the mat as he makes the cover, making sure to hook his left leg! 1 2 Ricochet kicks out! Whilst Ricochet has kicked out it has clearly done even more damage to his left leg and Bryan knows this as he goes for another cover hooking the left leg! 1 2 Ricochet kicks out again!

Daniel Bryan knows he has Ricochet on the back foot, literally as he grabs hold of his left leg and starts going to work with an ANKLE LOCK! The commentary put over how Ricochet's main weapon is his speed and high flying offense which Daniel Bryan is trying to take away tonight! Ricochet is in a lot of pain as Bryan starts twisting and turning the ankle lock as he really looks to inflict a ton of pain on Ricochet tonight!

Ricochet survives and gets out of the hold as he uses his hands to push down on the mat and roll over sending Bryan flying into the ropes! Ricochet takes a moment to punch his leg as he tries to get some feeling back into it. He sees Daniel Bryan on wobbly legs and starts bouncing on one leg and responds by hopping on his right leg and flips over as he hits Daniel Bryan with a HANDSPRING SWINGING TORNADO DDT! The crowd let out a massive pop as Ricochet follows up with a cover 1 2 Bryan kicks out!

Bryan grabs hold of Ricochet by the waist and slams him down to the mat with a belly to back suplex! Bryan makes the cover once again hooking the left leg 1 2 Ricochet kicks out!

Bryan however doesn't look to let up the pressure as he connects with a jumping knee drop to the left leg working over Ricochet once again! Daniel Bryan cranks the hold on tight inflicting as much pain as he possibly can! Ricochet once again is clearly in a lot of pain but he refuses to give up!

Ricochet struggles but he makes it to the ropes grabbing hold of them as he forces Bryan to break the hold! Bryan though makes sure to keep the hold locked in till the count of 4 maximizing the damage to the left leg! Daniel Bryan backs away as Ricochet looks to use the ropes to help himself back to his feet but Bryan charges at him and clothesline lines him over the ropes sending him onto the ring apron!

Daniel Bryan looks to carry on his attack grabbing hold of Ricochet but the high-flier hopping onto his right leg hits a hanging soccer kick with his damaged left leg! Daniel Bryan drops to the mat after being hit with the kick as Ricochet has to take a moment due to the damage he did to his own leg with that kick. However, he finds enough strength to get back to his feet as he goes for a SLINGSHOT SPRINGBOARD 450 SPLASH... BUT BRYAN GETS HIS KNEES UP!

Ricochet can't help but clutch his rib cage after that brutal landing as Daniel Bryan makes his way back to the left leg he has been targeting all match and looks to lock in the HEEL HOOK! Bryan has the lethal hold locked in tight as he looks to force a tap from Ricochet! Ricochet is screaming in pain due to the damage as Daniel Bryan is tearing and tearing at the ankle of Ricochet here! He grabs hold of the ropes as Bryan once again keeps the hold locked in till the count of 4, even arguing with the referee and telling him he has till 5!

Daniel Bryan though smells blood in the water as he makes his way to the corner of the ring and starts to mock the crowd as he starts doing the YES Taunt. Some of the crowd join in whilst the rest chant NO. Ricochet stumbles to his feet as Daniel Bryan charges at him looking for the RUNNING KNEE... but Ricochet dodges just in time and catches Bryan as he turns around with KING'S LANDING (FLATLINER)! Ricochet makes the cover 1 2 Bryan kicks out!

RICOCHET PICKS UP THE WIN OVER DANIEL BRYAN!

Winner via pinfall: Ricochet (15:50)

Ricochet takes a moment after the match as he lays on the mat, looking to rest his left leg after a massive effort tonight against someone of the skill of Daniel Bryan. The commentary team also makes sure to put over both men and say on another night it could easily have been Bryan walking out the victor! Ricochet is now on his feet having had to use the ropes to help himself up. Meanwhile, Erick Rowan helps Daniel Bryan up as the two men head to the back, with Bryan disappointed with tonight's outcome.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut to the backstage area as we can see the Raw commissioner Paige and the Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon watching a TV. Paige looks to be in a good mood whilst Shane look annoyed at the outcome of the latest match.

Shane McMahon: I still can't believe Ricochet thought it would be OK to attack Bryan before the bell had even rung!

Paige: Maybe if Bryan stopped preaching for once, that wouldn't have happened.

Paige shrugs as Shane McMahon shakes his head.

Shane McMahon: My friend Daniel was telling these people what they needed to hear.

???: Is that so?

The camera pans over as we can see the COO HHH walk into the shot. Paige lets out a smile whilst Shane McMahon looks unhappy to see HHH.

Shane McMahon: Listen Bryan's message is what's best for business. People need...

HHH: Shane I don't need you to tell me what is best for business and I especially don't need Daniel Bryan of all people doing the same!

Shane McMahon looks a little intimidated as HHH carries on.

HHH: Me, Stephanie, and Vince have been keeping an eye on how you're running Smackdown. We promised this would be about the fans months ago but it seems Smackdown has become about your ego.

Shane McMahon: HHH I'm just trying to run the best show possible for these fans and sometimes that means making decisions they might disagree with right now. However, they will see the light in the future.

HHH doesn't look impressed with that answer as he gets in Shane's face.

HHH: Shane trust me, I know when an authority figure is making decisions to suit their own ego better than anyone. So I'll give you a chance to correct your mistakes. I'll be watching the rest of the show closely especially the main event. And if I see any signs of bias, there will be consequences.

HHH turns to Paige.

HHH: Paige shall we go elsewhere as we have some business to discuss don't we?

Paige smiles as she and HHH go elsewhere as Shane McMahon is left to think about HHH's threat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut back to ringside as once again Big Show and Michael Cole are on commentary. They make a jibe about Raw being the A-show in typical brand supremacy fashion and mention HHH is not someone you want to get on the wrong side off.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut to a WWE commercial which is hyping up Wrestlemania and showing Manias throughout the years as the event gets bigger and bigger. We see the usual pirate themed stuff but we then cut to HHH who is stood backstage in front of a Wrestlemania 36 poster.

HHH: Wrestlemania is an event that gets bigger and bigger each week. And it has now gotten too big for 1 night. This year's Wrestlemania, the 36th edition will be held over two nights.

We see a graphic appear on the screen advertising where to go to buy tickets for both nights which stays on the screen giving fans time to go online and buy tickets to the event too big for one night (glad I don't write commentary as to make it realistic I would need to write for 50 pages a show around Mania time).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Becky refuses to cower in fear even if she is facing 3 on 1 odds and just smirks. However, it is Shayna who speaks first.

Shayna Baszler: Hello Becky, I've been waiting a long time to see you face to face. I've heard all about you.

Becky Lynch: Is that from that Ronnie's nightmares? Where is your best friend hiding Shayna?

Shayna just scowls staring at Becky Lynch trying not to bite.

Shayna Baszler:
Trust me, I'm more than Ronda's friend. Have you seen the destruction I've caused in NXT?

Becky Lynch: I've heard. But your shoulders are looking a little bare, whilst mine...

Becky lifts both her titles in the air as Shayna weirdly smiles.

Shayna Baszler: Because you haven't faced me yet. And trust me, Becky, when you step into the ring with me it ain't just your title you have to worry about losing. No, it will be which limb I want to take with me as well.

Shayna goes to leave with the other two horsewomen but Becky steps in front of her, angering the former two-time NXT Women's champion.

Becky Lynch: That's sort of thing Ronnie used to say, till the Man sent her packing. Now if you'll excuse me the real baddest woman on the planet has business to take care of.

Both Shayna and Becky are staring at each other dead in the eyes as Shayna lets out a fake smile.

Shayna Baszler: Real glad we could have this talk, Becky. I'll be seeing you real soon.

Charly Caruso: It is a big night for you Bayley but I have to ask, are you not worried about the possibility of Sasha cashing in on you tonight?

Sasha Banks: Charly, where do you get off asking those kind of questions.

Bayley: Sasha calm down. It is a fair question.

Sasha turns around and stares at Bayley acting like she is offended by the accusation.

Sasha Banks: Do you think I would betray you like that?

Bayley looks to answer but Sasha carries on before she can say a word.

Sasha Banks: You're actually listening to Becky? You've let her get inside your head! I can't believe it. I expected better from you.

Bayley: Sasha...

Sasha Banks: No, since you can't trust me I won't be at ringside tonight.

Sasha Banks storms off as Bayley is left stood there calling after her best friend.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut back to the commentary team as Corey Graves and Bryon Saxton are sat down at the table ahead of the main event. Both men talk about what we just saw and tell us we finally solved the mystery of who threw the pie at Kevin Owens! They then hype up the main event of the show as we cut to a video package.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It shows us the feud between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre which has been going on since before Wrestlemania. We see the finish of the Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns number one contender's match with Shane McMahon accidentally tossing Reigns the brass knuckles allowing Reigns to pick up the win. Next, we see Shane McMahon adding Drew McIntyre to the WWE title match at Summerslam with Roman and Kofi's reaction shown as well!

From there we get the rest of the build to the title match at Summerslam with Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns still wanting to kill each other whilst Kofi is annoyed at what he feels is the pair overlooking him. We also see all 3 men's journey to this main event throughout the years and the hard work all 3 have had to go through to get to this position. We see Kofimania, Drew's rebirth outside WWE and Roman's return to the WWE after his cancer scare. Finally, we cut to the end of the go-home Smackdown Live as Roman Reigns lays out Drew McIntyre before Kofi lays both men out cold with Trouble in Paradise refusing to be ignored!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*GALLANTRY*

The first man to make his way out for the main event is the Sinister Scotsman. He marches down the ramp with a serious look on his face ahead of the biggest match in his career so far. The commentary team reminds us of what Drew McIntyre said on Tuesday and that the Corporation has been told to stay away from ringside as Drew wants to do this alone.

*THE TRUTH REIGNS*

Roman Reigns makes his way out next getting mostly cheers from the crowd though a couple of fans boo Roman due to the smarky nature of the Canadian fan base. Roman looks angry and focused as he walks to the ring, staring down Drew McIntyre in the ring. Drew looks ready for a fight as Roman steps inside. Both men get in each other's face as the referee tells them to head to a corner as they await the third man...

Big E: Ooooooooh Toronto, Canada! Don't you dare be sour. Clap for your world-famous WWE champion and feel the power!

*NEW DAY, NEW WAY*

Loud cheers from the live crowd as Kofi Kingston makes his way out. Kofi is joined by his boys Xavier Woods and Big E who give him a hug and wish their boy good luck. The commentary team mentions the New Day's promise to stay away from ringside as long as the Corporation do the same. Kofi starts to walk down the ramp as he sees Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns staring each other down which annoys Kofi.

He gets into the ring and gets in between the pair as he lifts the WWE title into the air making it clear that he won't be forgotten about in this match. Both men then stare him down as Kofi passes the referee the WWE title. The usual pre-WWE title match announcements are done as all 3 men stand in the corners ready for this main event. No going to lie, that took me about a month to write so happy people seem to like it. This PPV was the first PPV I planned out in my head when writing the thread and the Becky stuff, Riddle vs Goldberg and Reigns going corporate on Kofi were the ideas that made me stop my old thread for this so very happy with how they worked out :).

You know one thing I might have changed, especially since this was in Toronto, is having some of the fans actually POP for the Reigns turn. I mean that seems to be what a lot of people want. :lol But this Corporation stable does seem easily hateable enough that the crowd would appropriately boo Reigns for the turn.

Honestly yeah, I think there would be some initial pops (the mixed reaction he stated when Reigns first used the brass knuckles), but once they realized it was going to be Reigns with Shane, he'd get all the heat still :heston

That's actually a really good point. Yeah I probs should have had more of a mixed reaction to the turn. Thanks for the feedback :)

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their kind words as well as the feedback and thank you to anyone who has taken time to read the thread so far. Also yes Wolfy the Brass Knuckles toss was a Deadly Games homage on my part (more will be explained by Shane and Reigns on Smackdown). Also, AJ Styles vs Mustafa Ali was going to be on the PPV but I changed it to a Raw match because 10 matches was already a quite big card even for a big 4 Pay-per-view and wanted to give them time to have a good match. The Sasha Banks and Roman Reigns heel turns were the basis for starting the thread so looking forward to moving to the second phase of this thread now I have finished the first PPV I planned out at the start of this thread.

Post-Summerslam news update:

Wrestlemania becoming two nights:

One of the big updates we got during Summerslam, was an announcement that Wrestlemania will be held over two nights. This has come about after discussions internally that Wrestlemania has grown too big for 1 night. People backstage noticed the success of Wrestlekingdom being over two nights and pitched the idea to Vince who agreed. What this means for NXT Takeover that weekend is unknown. Currently, the plan is to have the Takeover before Mania take place on Wednesday that week instead of the normal NXT episode but that will be confirmed later in the year.

Bray Wyatt character change coming soon:

Over the last few months, Bray Wyatt has been pitching a character change as he feels his character needs a reboot. No one has leaked what the character is going to be but it is a project Bray is very excited to try and see if it works. This week's Smackdown could be the start of that change after the War Raiders who he has been managing since coming back lost their Smackdown tag team titles.

Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks heel turns:

Last night at Summerslam we saw two massive heel turns as Sasha Banks turned on Bayley and cashed in on Becky Lynch to become Raw Women Champion. Meanwhile on Smackdown Roman Reigns joined the Corporation and became WWE champion as the Corporation helped him beat Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre who has been kicked out of the group. Both turns have been planned since Wrestlemania, though it took a lot of convincing from the writers to get Vince to agree with turning Roman heel. The heel turn for Sasha Banks was part of the condition for her to return after taking time off at Wrestlemania. She felt unhappy with her character’s lack of direction over the last few years. Meanwhile on Smackdown expect the Corporation storyline to carry on but WWE is wary of having the angle go on too long as authority angles have in the past.

Plans for Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle:

People backstage are very happy with the debut of Matt Riddle and now feel his win over Goldberg has helped establish him very quickly at the top of the card. Expect him to be one of the top faces on Monday Night Raw going forward. Brock Lesnar meanwhile could be a future opponent for him. The plan is to use Brock as a special attraction for the time being as people backstage feel Brock as WWE or Universal champion is very stale. The next match for Brock is currently planned to be against another superstar the WWE want to push and make a big deal: Aleister Black. Expect the build for that to start on tonight's Raw as Black is due to return from his storyline injury.

Plans for NXT UK takeover Cardiff, The Intercontinental title and The Ungovenables:

NXT UK has its second-ever takeover event coming up in a few weeks. The main event has been changed to Trent Seven vs WALTER after Tyler Bate picked up a long term injury. However, there was an interesting announcement on NXT UK TV this week. Ahead of the next Smackdown PPV London Calling which will take place in London England, at Takeover Cardiff there will be a 20 man Battle Royale with the winner facing the Intercontinental Champion at the time at London Calling!

Regarding the current number one contender for the title Cedric Alexander, he will be getting his title shot in two weeks on Smackdown Live. It has also been announced there will be a special showcase match as Cesaro from the Ungovenables is expected to issue an open challenge on the card. In story, it will be explained as a scouting mission for Zelina Vega as she looks to another client for the Ungovenables. The current names being considered from NXT for the match are: Pete Dunne, Kassius Ohno, Jordan Devlin, Travis Banks, and Ilja Dragunov.

Upcoming PPVs:

As noted in the previous section, the next Smackdown PPV will be taking place in London England. This something WWE has been looking to do for a while as they want to expand more into other markets with other PPV's in Australia and Mexico during the year. Expect this to be a more common pattern over the next few years.

Matchcard for London Calling:
September 29th

London, England

Theme song:

Intercontinental title match:
Luke Harper or Cedric Alexander (c) vs Winner of the NXT UK Battle Royal
