When you think of show stealers and superstars who rise to the occasion when the lights are the brightest, our next inductee should be one of the first to come to mind. Building a reputation on his ability to bring the fans to their feet night in and night out with his magnetic charisma and gutsy in-ring exploits, he is a superstar in every sense of the word. He cemented himself as an all-time legend with a career that is simply overflowing with exceptional moments such as “The Boyhood Dream” coming true, the passing of the proverbial torch to Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania XIV, returning to the ring after 4 years of retirement, setting the place on fire with Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XIX, delivering a nearly hour long classic with John Cena on Raw in 2007, retiring “The Nature Boy” and going out in a blaze of glory with a series of WrestleMania encounters with The Undertaker, along with countless other unforgettable moments. There is a reason he is bestowed with such nicknames as “Mr. WrestleMania” and “The Showstopper”. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s hear it for the third inductee into the 2021 Wrestling Smarks Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame class --

SHAWN MICHAELS

There aren’t enough adjectives in the world to properly sum up HBK’s brilliance as a pro wrestler. He will eternally be regarded as one of the greatest performers ever due to his flair for the dramatic. It’s no wonder Michaels was selected to be the first guy to perform in a multitude of stipulation matches such as Hell in a Cell, the Elimination Chamber, the Iron Man match and the first ladder match in WWE history against Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X. In terms of one's capability to send the fans home happy - Shawn likely has no equal. This is evident with his record-setting 11 “Match of the Year” awards from Pro Wrestling Illustrated. All of this, and I didn’t even mention that he was part of one of the most well-remembered tag teams of his era as one half of The Rockers! Michaels truly mastered the art of wrestling and, for that, he will forever be immortalized!​

Now for our fourth induction and a man who makes for the perfect follow-up to “Mr. WrestleMania” since this man’s reputation at “The Grandaddy of ‘Em All” went an extremely long way in building his fabled legacy.

Beginning his career in 1987 and wading through multiple gimmicks that never got much traction, it would only take until 1990 for him to land the role that he would ride for the next 30 years to universal acclaim. First portraying an old Western mortician, before evolving into an Undead monster, then a cult leader, then a take-no-prisoners biker, before finally returning to an omnipotent asskicking Deadman for the vast remainder of his run, this man cycled through several alterations of his character but they would all be known under the same name. A name that will no doubt continue to reverberate through the annals of wrestling history. A name that anybody who has watched wrestling over the last 4 decades will have a fond memory to associate with. Here he is, the next inductee into the Wrestling Smarks Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame --

THE UNDERTAKER

Seeing as how he is the longest tenured superstar in all of WWE history, it’s tough to really recap the career of “The Phenom” without leaving off crucial moments and memories. More than anything else, he will likely be best remembered as one of the best characters WWE has ever had. One that conjured fear in many young fans, and a sense of wonderment in audiences of all ages. There is also the formidable “Streak” of 21 consecutive victories at WrestleMania without a loss, which will likely never be duplicated, that featured timeless matches against Batista, Edge, Shawn Michaels,Triple H and CM Punk. Now that “The Demon of Death Valley” has taken his Last Ride, we can reflect back on a career of admirable dedication both to the company he worked for, and to the gimmick he portrayed, and enjoy the moments, feuds and matches that amounted to a career for the ages!

Just one inductee remains - the act that received the most points from voters out of all our finalists. The headliner of the class of 2021 will be revealed... later tonight!​
