anyone wanna go look up my play from day 1 can themselves. if anyone thinks my main goal as scum on day 1 is to stop a bunch of likely mislynches from happening and dissuade people from going there they're Blue.

the game with jeff was completely different, wasn't it? unless you want to go show the comparison. that game i started out hard and pushed poyser and wanted to keep pushing poyser. this game i pushed chris, was told he claimed strongman, and still wanted him lynched but i didnt care if HE was the one lynched that did opposed to making sure we didnt lynch people that were obvious town. i said i was fine with the brutus wagon while still being around, i could have pushed the chris thing harder if i wanted to make sure brutus wasnt lynched. i would have told brutus to actually play in the thread, much like i did to jeff when he was ducking, and im sure brutus would have more than likely obligated unlike jeff.

youre choosing to ignore i was fine with brutus and that i was still around in the thread. youre choosing to ignore i could have pushed a direction stronger if i really cared about making sure a mislynch happen that wasn't brutus. youre choosing to ignore all the correct town reads i made to try tunneling me off the same shit you used the last time with jeff even though i flat out said i would just sink any teammate that tried that shit with me again, but let's pretend id go out of my way to try to save brutus after he was ducking the whole time.

I didn’t ignore you said you were fine with lynching Brutus? I literally said in the post that you mentioned him after I asked about him twice. I also literally said it was different from the Jeff situation which is why you wouldn’t sandbag him straight away. he’s not a point of discussion at the time, people are focused on other players so they might not come back to him but if you mention him as a scum read it 100% puts him in contention to get lynched —> you’re asked for an opinion on him and know he looks bad so happy to potentially bus him because of what happened last time. you not pushing Chris harder is a fair point I will admit but there’s no way to know if you were worried about Brutus being lynched or not.

i would have preferred to wait, but youre say this is "stalling".

i think it's both mitch and rugrat atm. rugrat for the reasons odo brought up and because last time he was scum with sky and won he was against the sky lynch pretty much all the way until it was too late at which point he hopped on immediately and at the start of day 3 so he could try to make himself look better, i.e. similarly to how he did it with brutus.

also I’m not set on wanting to lynch you, and I don’t think anyone else is either so you can stop with that if you’re town but I would like a claim at least. there’s other directions that need to be pursued so you can try and push your own but I don’t think ‘there’s scum on this wagon’ is going to cut it because it won’t be the case 100% of the time and we don’t know if all the town reads are correct.

there is nothing to claim, im a vt. i wasn't even aware brutus was about to be lynched the first time, i just knew he had a wagon on him because he had claimed around when i was first starting my read back. like i cant defend myself against these hypotheticals, if you think i was aware of the game state and just pulling off some direction pivot then i wont be able to convince you otherwise. i just wasn't caught up, i did not care about brutus during my read back, i thought chris was scum.

im not going to bother a back and forth either because it will just end up as a huge thing that will waste my time. if you want to lynch me then lynch me, but it's not productive to just go forever. im just going to read day 1.

ive litereally read him as town from the start. after that he was on brutus the whole time and kept bringing brutus back up/mentioned to it to me twice. like he's obviously not scum and i dont think he's sticking his head out a lot as the sk or anything either when he doesnt necessarily have to be active to get by.

But it sure seems to me like as soon as you got wagoned you withdrew and only came out again once Brutus started taking heat for making a fool of himself and tried to get on board, while still not really contributing much. Feels weird!

like, he's pushing his own wagon and wanting to maintain his wagon more than he cares about what brutus is doing. i dont know if that makes sense, but like when you push your own wagon you do it in spite of the other things being pushed so its not so much defending brutus as it is ruining the credibility of other wagons so his own gets pushed

i.e. not really a scummy thing, more of a "i want my wagon to go through" towny mindset.

he also had a back and forth with jeff about whether he left or not. idk he had a lot of posts directed at jeff which i dont think cp really does, even to save a teammate, early on because he doesnt want to make himself look bad early and it's not like the brutus wagon had really taken off yet.

also @Big Man you keep talking about how at page 14/15 i shouldve spotted what everyone else spotted in regards to brutus, but it was only like 2 people including jeff who everyone else was voting.

What’s Phenom been like recently? Him doing stuff always sets off alarm bells for me.

For now I’m happy on the Jeff wagon. His early buddying of me was null and just my way of pushing a reaction, but I don’t like the way he goes super defensive early. Does he have much experience as scum? Reminds me of me in my early days.

a big part of big man's case is i read the first 15 pages and out of that i should have known brutus was scum "like a bunch of other people did", but most of the thread is still pushing jeff at this point.
