all it is, is a clarification that Big Man and Haza aren't necessarily being played by Big Man and Haza.

I don't think so at all. It's just his way of avoiding sending someone a confusing role PM where they think the humans Big Man and Haza are their mason partners and not the in game Big Man and Haza.
