Oscar averaged a triple double, not a 99I agree about the myplayer thing but not about Lebron not being worth being a 99. His skill set is too wide for him not to be.
Wilt averaged 50 and 25, played over 48mpg one season, not a 99
Kobe's been 25/5/5 for over a decade, not a 99
West is the logo and averaged a 2x2 without the 3pt line, not a 99
Kareem appeared in 2k before, all time scorer, played 20 years, not a 99
Malone was basically 20 and 10 most his career, not a 99
LeBron was coming off a year where his averages dipped, yes he had won one title finally, but it was 1/3 and without a significant statistical upgrade when you analyze his post game or mid shot, just his three was upped. There was no way he should have been the only guy outside Jordan with a 99.
Magic and Bird set an impact on the league when it was down, Magic famously even started at C, played F and G, was a 5 time champ who made 9 finals, and wasnt a 99. Bird was one of the greatest shooters ever, as clutch as can be, an amazing passer, not a 99.
Oh and Hakeem isn't a 99, Shaq isn't a 99 despite being the most dominant force there was, and Russell who won all those rings isn't a 99. Mikan has never been either despite the nba marketing the lakers games as Mikan vs opposing teams as he was the leagues first star ever
I'm just saying by default my players need to be capped so that they can't achieve 99 and LeBron too needs to be pegged down a notch. He was the best guy in the league last year, not taking that from him, give him a 97-98 for all I care, but don't essentially say he's perfect when the Surs dared him to shoot the ball in the finals.
And if you say LeBrons a 99 even with his jumper still being slightly flawed to the point him being dared to shoot by going under all picks ... Then I'm saying at some point when they add in all time Bird, Magic, Kareem, Bill, Wilt, Kobe, Shaq, Oscar, Hakeem, Tim, and West, they all need to be 99s. Kobe's 01 averages blow Brons away versus a better Spurs team when the Lakers went 15-1 for instance, and Shaq averaged the like of 30 and 15 in the finals. Put them all at 99 to offset the playing field because Bron shouldn't be able to outrank them all in overall, as they all were equally or more impactful in their own ways.
It doesn't irk me that MJ was perfect but lets be real he should be the only one granted that level of god status, like he was the only perfect finals guy.
