I like Dirk too. He's one of the guys who I love to watch. That said, he needs to take care of the knee fully and that means even going to Germany or taking 2 months off to fully heal. I just get the idea that he will come back too early, try to do too much too soon, and it will hurt his season.

Very well doubt the preseason will be a reflection of how he plays when it matters playing with Dwight, Kobe, Nash, Pau and Jamison.

Ron post trade deadline scored double digits average wise, shot 39% from 3, and averaged over 2 steals, 3 asts, and 4 Rebs until he knocked Harden the fuck out. He also had better second round numbers than Harden in that series. I think he will be good. Not 15-17 points, but definitely a solid 11-13 with rebounds, assists, steals, and the like because he is fit and has his athleticism back. He is getting up there in the preseason for dunks effortlessly.

And I know it's just preseason but Kobe's shooting was sick as he had practiced catch and shoot this summer after the Olympics. Kobe also last year was number 11 in the leagu on catch and shoot jumpers when open, only outside the top 10 by two tents of a percentage.

Metta has gotten worse every year since he joined the Lakers. I have no reason to believe anything is gonna change this year.

Metta's numbers after the all star break are so good because Kobe missed quite a few games where Metta managed to step up. I would be amazed to see him average 10 points or more somehow when Dwight, Pau, and Kobe are all in front of him as far as scoring options go on the starting lineup.

Because 3 of the teams in the East (P1, KIF and NMS) have horrible depth initially going into the season.

Yeah but it wouldn't matter as long as you had a good draft and those teams I named didn't exactly have a good overall draft.
