Now i have two videos here, and we can clearly see that the crowd buys them like idiots. So do you think it's the greatest "ANGLE" wrestlers can do? would you like to see it be done more? and which vid did you like more. DISCUSS!

Awesome idea for a thread. I really enjoyed Henry's FAKE retirement speech. Steiner's though is an incredibly legendary moment for me.

Watching those video's two things are clear; firstly its a great angle to go with but should be used sparingly, overexposure is a bad thing. Secondly Mark Henry is severely underrated. Dude can cut a monster of a promo, made that believable even though I knew it was a rouse when I watched it.

The thing that makes the Henry one much better to me is because it got made too obvious it was an angle with the Steiner one once the NWO came out and him coming out with the bat. Henry's got sold as legit the whole way through.

I gotta give WWE the credit. They ACTUALLY let Mark run with this angle and he fucking nailed it. I mean, they've NEVER really given him that much mic time in this "almost 20 years" he's been here and damn if he didn't steal the show.

Forgot about Steiner's one, seemed impressive at the time, but got to agree that this was more carefully planned out and believeable because of the contrast of where the two guys were at the time. Also WCW did nothing with the Steiner one post-angle hopefully WWE will not make that mistake here.
