Didn't we vote this the greatest PPV of all time?
Week 3 of our classic PPV live discussions bring us to this fantastic show from April 2001.

On the last edition of our classic PPV live discussions, we saw Stone Cold outlast all competition to earn a shot at the WWF Championship in the main event of this show. As fate would have it, The Rock defeated Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship at No Way Out, setting up a WrestleMania rematch for the ages!

Elsewhere on this show, we will be treated to the iconic TLC II, pitting the teams of Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz against each other in WWE's version of the demolition derby. We will also see Triple H vs. Undertaker, Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit and a street fight pitting father vs. son when Vince McMahon faces Shane McMahon, just weeks removed from Shane McMahon purchasing WCW right out from under Vince's nose!

Be here or be... stupid.

The Live Discussion begins Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 9 PM EASTERN TIME

So pull that shit up and have it ready to go.

PRESS PLAY WHEN THE CLOCK HITS 9 PM EASTERN TIME!

Do feel free to chime in with your commentary, even if you are not actually watching the show. If you've seen the show, as I'm sure many of us have... you can follow along and join the discussion.

And don't be afraid to watch the show later and pitch in some thoughts afterward. That's cool too.

Let's have some fun!

We did indeed vote this best PPV.

I’ll try and be here. I’m debating on going out tonight but I could push it to tomorrow night. We’ll see.

I mean, you were saying WrestleMania 3 was the best PPV so I was going off that, but even still that means X-Seven was voted as being better than 3 and that was the point. :draper2

I honestly couldn’t see too many PPVs beating X-Seven in a poll so this all pointless grandstanding.

I don’t even remember the Canadian Stampede that Frin pivoted to so I said I’d allow top 2. :cudi

Canadian Stampede is better than every WrestleMania ever including III and X-Seven....easily :side:

I couldn't tell you a single thing that happened on that show. Still, I told Grim I'd agree to top 2. :bron

I looked at the card, nothing about that says to me it would be as good as X-Seven.

Not to mention, it's a 4 match show. I don't think it can really qualify. I'd consider this more of a Raw than a PPV. :swamps

Update, with this weather it's no way I can go out. But with this weather I could lose power. So, I'll try my best to be here but we'll see.

It's a PPV though so it qualifies as best PPV of all time :lmao Now that I think about it though, I'd probably rank MITB 2011 only slightly over it IMO as the most complete and consistent (and therefore my favorite) WWF/E PPV.

But ummm, I'd still like some opinions from watching the show me and Grim love so much instead of just looking at the card 8D

I'd never rank a 4-match show over what's supposed to be a full 8-12 match card. Feels like a cheat.

I mean, maybe at some point. There's just nothing about this that interests me right now.

I don't limit myself to hard rules when it comes to ranking shows :draper2

There's some 4 match shows I'd rank near the top of all time and some 15 match shows I'd rank right around the same, just depends on how much fun it is to watch. My top two most watched PPVs of all time might honestly be WrestleMania X-Seven and Canadian Stampede (idk SummerSlam 02 might beat one of those), so I'm pretty confident in ranking Canadian Stampede over X-Seven as my personal opinion, other shows I might have some pause and wanna rewatch to compare but I've seen these two WAY too many times. I think I was the only one that nominated Canadian Stampede for this, but y'all might get to it eventually :pour

Also glad you posted the card for me Smark just so I can mark again thinking about how awesome the show was :homer: Mankind/Trips brawling all night, awesome cruiswerweight match, Solid Vader/Taker match that I expected to be worst for Vader at the time, and then one of the best main events of all time with one of the hottest crowds ever :mark:
