On the selling out point we would easily sell out Wembly. Thats 90,000!
I think that would happen only if the ME would be Barrett winning WHC or something.

But it would be cool to have another pop like this

As much as it won't happen, it would be great if it did.

However Americans wouldn't pay the standard price to watch PPV at a time which is inconvenient for them and due to them generating a lot of sales, WWE have to pretty much make it extremely convenient for Americans and give no shits about us Brits. To them, we are just giving them a little bit of extra pocket money compared to everyone else.

How is he missing out on money? Mania sells out 80,000 seat stadiums in the US.

Wembley is 90k seated+maybe 5/6k floor. They could actually have an attendance of 95k instead of fiddling it when it's actually like 60k.

Wrestlemania ain't going to England. The time zones makes the event impossible unless the people over there are fine with attending a big event like this early in the morning around or past midnight. If it were backwards, where the UK were six hours before us (talking about myself through Central Time) instead of after us, it could work - they could simply hold the event live in England early in the afternoon at about 2 PM and that would be around or about the same time for the rest of us watching it on PPV as it normally is. But as it is, they would have to hold it at like 12-1 AM in England (I don't know that it's illegal to hold an event over there at that time but I'll take Airbourne's word for it) and I don't see that happening. They wouldn't even toy with this idea for Summerslam 1992, which was just a three hour PPV instead of a four hour Superbowl-like event like the way Wrestlemania has become each year now. They taped Summerslam and showed it a day or two later and no way in hell would they ever do that for Wrestlemania - it would kill the whole spectacle feeling of the show that it gets from being live, not to mention cause the results of the matches to leak out.

I wish there a way to pull it off, because I would like to see WWE promoting "Wrestlemania Is Finally Coming To The UK!" and I would like to see them try to beat their previous attendance from Wembley Stadium in '92 but I see little to no chance of it happening. I know Vince likes to pride himself on taking calculated risks, but I just don't see the overall financial benefit when holding it here in the States or even in Canada again would guarantee to be just as profitable without risking losing PPV buys by making the core North American audience stay up late to watch it.

I do like the idea of Wrestlemania happening overseas and I think it could happen one day, though. I imagine the announcement for Wrestlemania finally going overseas being similarly 'ground breaking' to when WWF announced that Wrestlemania 6 would be the first WM taking place internationally by going to the Skydome in Canada. You need a better timezone than the one the UK would provide, though. I want to say Puerto Rico since they held New Year's Revolution 2005 there and they're only one hour ahead of us in terms of the time zone but their biggest stadium holds only 22,000. Plus, it seems like a pretty bland place to hold a Wrestlemania anyway. Any other suggestions?

And much lower viewership form the States which = a ton of money lost. You guys may get a SummerSlam again someday, but never a WM.

Brazil :eek:tunga:

Yeah that ain't happening ever :downer: Don't really see another place for it though. If timezones are the problem Mexico would be their first choice besides Canada but I don't think they're going there.

Unless they're willing to tape another Summerslam (like in '92) or any other PPV, you can forget about that, too. There's a reason why PPVs like Rebellion, Capital Carnage, Mayhem In Manchester, etc. were pretty much England-only PPVs that were seen as just extra shows to the rest of us that were never hyped up the way a normal PPV was.

It would be cool cause then I'd get to travel outside of US. Aside from my own selfish reasons I have no other reason as to why WWE would put WM in the UK other than to just do it.

It would be cool, but it ain't happening, mainly due to the timezone difference. Considering European fans have far better crowds than most of the US fans, you'd think they could bring a minor PPV to Wembley like Over The Limit or something. Hey, I mean they took our language, it's about time they gave us something back. God save the queen.
