That's what everyone is saying when they say EC3. I agree, especially this shoot...

All that hype, all that momentum... gone, because Vince doesn't see anything.

Goosebumps. Still to this day.

I saw this while I was traveling Puerto Rico. Goosebumps, bro.

“I’m the game; I’m the new fuckin game” gives me chills. I think this was when I became a fan of the guy

Exactly. I saw his work before that, but that is like the Stone Cold moment.

re: Shinsuke - I feel he would have suited a manager/mouthpiece like an MVP type that can do the mic work for him, then just kick ass when the bell rings. It’s a nice attempt with Boogz but it’s sorta gimmicky as well, unlike a Heyman, MVP, Vega type mouthpiece.

As for my answer - Finn Balor. Absolutely phenomenal in his first NXT run, becomes the first ever Universal Champion and then injured. Since that injury he’s been so down the pecking order aside from a few Demon cameos it’s a disgrace. His return to NXT was sensational and reinvigorated a brand in limbo. He comes back to main roster and is losing to Austin Theory. I’m just….stunned at his booking. Sensational move set, good promo, marketable gimmick and has some believable finishers that work on anybody.

I agree on Balor on the main roster. I feel really bad for the guy that he got injured at the absolute worst possible time. He'll probably never get the Universal Title run, they've had so many chances since and not pulled the trigger on him. I feel he would have put on some terrific work as the top champion as well, you always get good matches out of him. The Rollins match at Summerslam was fantastic despite the injury. I am glad he got to return to NXT though with his Prince persona. I do disagree on the Austin Theory part though, I think the guy is pretty good myself.

Yeah Finn Balor is one of the biggest cases of what could have been. It was crazy how he became the first universal champion but then got injured in the same night. After that they just never put the title back on him and he’s never really felt like a top guy. He’s one of the most talented guys on the roster so it’s really a shame. Some guys you think the universe is just out to get them and Finn Balor is one of those people.

Yeah that injury was a momentum killer for Balor. Beat Roman Reigns his first night on the Raw roster then beat Seth at Summerslam. They definitely had plans for him and I think he was poised to have a decent run with the belt.

I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it but it seems like unless you’re already a top guy, if you get injured, Vince isn’t going to give you another shot. Like the aforementioned Balor, same thing happened to Ziggler. Everyone wanted to see him win the belt. Everyone was happy when he did, then like 2 weeks later he got kicked in the head and was off TV for like 3-4 weeks.

Lost the belt and never got that spot back. That wouldn’t happen to a Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns

Kennedy was made out of Raditz.

Although WWE did kinda fuck him over by misdiagnosing an injury. Which essentially cost him the World Heavyweight Championship

No one can say Balor was wasted....he was awarded their biggest title when he got to the main roster.

Honestly got a bigger push then when he was in Japan tbh.

Nikki ash has had success and I even say finn balor for most part has had a decent run former nxt champ ic to I think could be wrong and was universal champion the very first one so they def had plans but he got hurt. Dominick Dijack is a name that stands out for me as well as Karrion Kross these are two guys right here that should easily been vinces wet dream. I thought for Kross was set to be a main event star.
