Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel of 2012

Since Fuji has us all thinking of the best movies and worst movies of 2012 (I paid him a nice little shiny fish to get those started,.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................well not really he is faster and better than I am at these sort of things.) I have been thinking and this will not be the last of the thinking either but we were hammered with sequels and many unneeded reboots this year and movies that were a rip off. So can you think of any that can be added post them and discuss. I can throw out some suggestions and you can run with them.

Not all of the films I mentioned were bad movies per say but do fit the category of a sequel, a rip-off, or a Remake.


My vote goes to Red Dawn. I hate remakes to begin with but they decided to fuck up the whole story and have the group elsewhere it was just another unneeded remake that was a piece of shit.

Although I didn't hate it, I think its story was an incomplete mess.

Total Recall was alright but isn't half a s fun as the original.

I thought Spiderman wasn't that bad of a film, but I do see where they were taking the character and think they followed the Amazing Spiderman comics to some degree.

Remake, Rob Zombie's Halloween.

Sequel: I've seen plenty of bad sequels, but the most disappointing I'd say was Mission Impossible 2.

I don't remember seeing any remakes this year.

And the sequels I saw were all good I thought.
