As bad as the Renegade Warrior was, he was somebody who should have never had a push or have been in the business in the first place, but was shoehorned, but was ultimately forgettable.

The Powers That Be were not forgettable, and not forgivable.

Actually voting for the Powers That Be for the first time here, Renegade def sucked tho and I wouldn't really care if he moved on either.

I still don't see how a gimmick that's basically just the GMs not showing their faces is somehow worse than wrestling Ninja Turtles and Ultimate Warriors ripoffs.

Renegade was more offensive. It did more damage including leading to the death of the guy behind it.

That isn't the part that was annoying to me, it was fine. It was how much airtime and how much the uber heel decisions affected matches. It was like evil Vince on steroids bc Russo knew that was working

That's more the booking than gimmick, though, imo.

TBF I would also use the same booking that worked for me in the other company.

That said, he should have known WCW wasn't the WWF. Though, Bischoff was the evil boss first.

I think its fair to include the booking in the gimmick bc he was both kayfabe and actually booking it lmao

Even then I love 1996-1998 WCW more than most, but Russo's 1999 booking is vastly better than the Bischoff/Nash booking that Spring to fall. Some of that stuff done just before Russo got there is much worse. At least Russo started getting young guys more screen time and gave other acts legit gimmicks like Champagne Kanyon, etc.
