This is what I mean, y'all just write me off, cause y'all don't listen. Y'all weren't there when I legitimately went off on Wednesday.TBH I think he's trolling. That's the conclusion I've came too.

You're the one that was still posting, but m'kay.Ignore button for me . Can't be bothered.
You're the ones accusing me of trolling, when I've told y'all I don't know how many times that I'm not.Right... we all are the ones who aren't reading what you are throwing at us.
He could've easily kept the FTW title while taking the next step, why nobody can see this is beyond me.Goodness. What a thread. I don't even drink but I think I need a drink now.
To address the primary topic, I enjoyed the FTW title for what it was worth - an outlaw borderline unsanctioned title that shouldn't have been recognized by management, only defended under agreements from those in the match, with no real rules aside from 'beat that guy's ass.' A good excuse to have the random plunder match halfway through Dynamite, and if I had the book (here we go again) I would've made it the gateway title between Dark and Dynamite/Rampage/Collision/etc. Course that would also mean bringing Dark back, which, again, has pretty much the core pathos of my booking ideas. I need my Tazcalibur Visual Podcast.
But I digress.
While the FTW title has been fun, I do feel like it's kinda stagnated. It's less of a title and more of a prop for Hook storylines, and you can only run the 'this piece of discount offbrand flex machine stole our family's paperweight, I'mma get it back and make him eat dirt while I do it' story a few times before it's just hitting the same beats. From Hook's point of view, he's honored Taz's title as much as he can, defended it a bunch and won it back from a big name like Jericho, so it's best to retire it on top after giving it that last hurrah in his hometown. Y'know. The 'this belongs in a museum' kinda deal, I guess.
Hook's proved he can hang when it means something for the FTW title. Now he needs to take the next step and do so without that crutch, and evolve as both a wrestler and a character. I'm excited to see where he goes next.
I think y'all underestimate just how stubborn I can be...Yeah. Was gonna say the same thing. Let him just shout into the wind, no one reply, and the thread will die.
We’ve all listened and replied to what you’ve said. We’re just confused at why you feel there’s still more to be said about this particular topic. This is what I mean, y'all just write me off, cause y'all don't listen. Y'all weren't there when I legitimately went off on Wednesday.
Oh no please don't . Lol. I feel it's been said. We’ve all listened and replied to what you’ve said. We’re just confused at why you feel there’s still more to be said about this particular topic.
Because that’s not how it works. For a variety of reasons. Mainly because you don’t typically chase a second accolade while you currently have one. Double champions are rare and few and when it happens, they lose one or both quickly. It’s not a long term situation. He could've easily kept the FTW title while taking the next step, why nobody can see this is beyond me.
Chasing a second accolade seems common to me, US champions on Raw would constantly chase after the tag team titles and WWE title. Why did they even let Hook challenge for for the world title while he still had the FTW title?Because that’s not how it works. For a variety of reasons. Mainly because you don’t typically chase a second accolade while you currently have one. Double champions are rare and few and when it happens, they lose one or both quickly. The bigger reason is you can’t sell someone as being ready for the next step while they’re still bogged down by low card angles and accolades.
WWE wouldn’t push the 24/7 Champion into the main event, for example. He’d have to lose it first and do some serious damage work to elevate him beyond that division to the fans.
