Why is CM Punk not drawing ratings?

Punk had a 5 star match against Cena, a 5 star match (imo, given 4 1/2) against Bryan. He must be pretty fantastic. I don't know, he botches a bit sure, he's a bit sloppy but overall he's a fantastic wrestler imo. He's no Bryan/Styles/Steen but he's up there in the list of fantastic wrestlers.
Not many of his matches bore me to tears, which is rare in WWE.

So many factors, you guys already mentioned everything I would. He's not a draw himself, he's not that guy that can take something that doesn't draw (his current booking) and make it draw. He must be put in a situation that would draw (MITB storyline) and then he excels. Why? Well, he doesn't have that babyface look, for starters. He's got an unique look that doesn't fit that criteria very well. His gimmick is another sad thing, stupid Cena Jr. crap they gave him. He comes out, makes corny jokes, screams he's the best in the world and wrestles. Always gets the upper hand when attacked cleanly. Very different from that rebelious heel we had feuding with the whole damn WWE and stole the title.
Why did it happen? Why did Punk stop being a draw? Because he needs to have an interesting character or be involved in a good storyline to draw. We had the shoot, and the guy was worshipped by the IWC. I'm not sure how he was seen by casuals, I couldn't watch the whole shows last July. But anyway, after he got a hometown pop, he seemed like he instantly turned face. He worked as a face on his match with Cena, but it was OK because of the situation. At that time, he was a draw. He was over. There were people complaining about Cena being the face for so long and crap, just like Punk said on his worked shoot. So they put Punk as the top guy for a while. They try to build this image of him as the top superstar. However, it's the WWE. Do you think they would have a rebelious guy talking smack about the company all the time as the top face? No. They'll have a kid pleasing, corny joking superman as the face. And that's why his gimmick is the way it is today.
Having a guy with that look in random filler feuds that have no build whatsoever, that has been the champ for quite some time and using this boring gimmick that doesn't suit him and cut his balls makes Punk the opposite of a draw.
