Seriously...why pay your hard earned money to go to a show and just be a negative asshole?

If you don't like the product...then don't go to the events, don't watch the network and don't
buy the merch...

I'm pretty sure the WWE doesn't care if the crowd chants Boring, CM Punk or What?! because
at the end of the night...they have the crowds money.

If people really want to send a message then ignore the WWE...

I also find it annoying as being in Australia...we don't get that many opportunities to see a WWE
show...and even when they do have a show Down Under its miles away from me and I can't afford
to pay for the cost of the show and the travel.

So I sit here and watch and listen to the "idiot" crowds chant like assholes and all I can think is...
You ungrateful pricks...

Why can't people just be more positive and enjoy themselves?

If you think the show is boring...THEN LEAVE!

CM Punk walked...he wasn't fired...so get the fuck over it!

You can't have pro wrestling without negativity. It's one of the things that drives the industry. In fact, WWE has more than encouraged the interactive nature of the wrestling crowd, whether positive or negative. WWE thrives on reaction and reaction can't always be positive.

WWE is no more likely to listen to the fans that ignore them than they are to the fans who chant things all the time.

How can fans be "ungrateful?" They pay the salaries of everyone involved in WWE.. They pay their hard earned money to go to these events, buy merchandise and keep the industry alive. They don't owe the WWE anything. As John Cena has pointed out hundreds of times, that gives them the right to chant whatever they want to.

And I know the negativity might not make sense to everyone, but obviously the people who go to these events and are negative must be enjoying themselves. More power to them.

"This is boring! *clapclapclapclapclap* This is boring!" is totally chantable and much more effective though. Or the classic THIS SHOW SUCKS

but that doesn't troll Stephanie I guess

That is mainly what the chants are all about and she has no one to blame but herself. She was the one who has responded to the chants more than once. If the crowd wants to antagonize her, she should have been smart enough to not give them an effective way of doing it.

Isn't it called NXT?
How can fans be "ungrateful?"
By ignoring the efforts of the performers in the ring and chanting meaningless bullshit...

I just don't understand the point of it...

"Lets go to the WWE show and chant meaningless shit...that will be fun!"

Its just a stupid attitude to have...why not chant for someone in the actual
match your watching? No...lets chant for CM Punk or Randy Savage...

I'm all for people having an opinion...but how about just enjoying the show while
your there and then use a place like this or social media to express any negative
opinions you may have.

I rag on RAW...but if I was "actually" there...I'd be cheering for everyone and trying
to have a good time...of course I wouldn't be able to...because a bunch of idiots
would be chanting for CM Punk...

So...if people enjoy being negative...just let them go about their business
no matter how it may effect others around them?

There's plenty of negativity in NXT just like there is in every wrestling promotion in the entire world.

That doesn't answer my question. Fans don't need to be grateful to the WWE. WWE doesn't provide them with free entertainment. Fans pay for everything, even the shows are all on cable which has to be paid for. As paying customers, they don't have to be grateful or ungrateful.

I just don't understand the point of it...

As I have mentioned before, it has little to actually do with CM Punk. It has everything to do with annoying Stephanie McMahon and I personally have no problem with people doing that.

I'm all for people having an opinion...but how about just enjoying the show while
your there and then use a place like this or social media to express any negative
opinions you may have.

But if chanting CM Punk is part of their enjoyment.

The chants are not done that often or for long enough to ruin a three hour show. In fact, several weeks go by in which I don't hear the chants at all. They don't happen THAT often, we're just focused on them so it seems like they are more common than they are.

And WWE doesn't even want you cheering for everyone. They want the negative reaction.

So...if people enjoy being negative...just let them go about their business
no matter how it may effect others around them?

Yeah It's their right to behave in any way they want, even if we don't agree with them. We cannot try and control the free actions of other people just because it upsets or offends us. That would be like me going to a Cubs game at the White Sox stadium and saying I can't cheer for the Cubs. I paid my money and I can chant whatever I want. Yeah, the White Sox fans might not be happy with them but it's not my responsibility to make them happy. It's my right to enjoy the game and react to the game in the way that I want to.

Well...I'm all for free speech...but...not if your going to act like an asshole...

I guess we agree to disagree...

You have to protect the good with the bad of speech because we can't decide what is really good or bad or who is an asshole or not. It's subjective. When we start doing that, we cease becoming a free society and we then become a fascist society.

But yeah, guess we do have to agree to disagree.

The other side of the crowd chants is that it seems like many people complain about all of them. "All those Full Sail people and their stupid chants!!!" "That damn Fight Forever chant, I hate that so much, people copying off that Dallas crowd!" "Bastardizing that This Is Awesome chant again smh, it's merely pretty good. Not even four stars".. Maybe we need to get together and decide which chants should and shouldn't go. I'll start. Kick the "What" chant the hell up on outta here.

Seems like there's a consensus that a chant is only cool once. The Chantamania stuff in 2013 was phenomenal as a protest at the time but whenever they tried that again it died off quickly since it didn't have the same spontaneity, the same cause they were rebelling against as the first time that happened...

At least AJ Lee isn't there to get showered in CM Punk chants. That was obnoxious too.

I dig "positive" chants like:

"Heyyyyyy-eyyyy Bayley! Ooh, ahh! I wanna knoowww... will you be my girl?"

The "YES" Chant...

"Asuka's Gonna Kill You!"

The "10" Chant...

or negative reactions towards heels...because they are doing their job
right if they are getting that type of reaction.

I like "オカダ, オカダ, オカダ," though it's more prevalent in Japan than here.

It was understandable when he only just left WWE and we all missed him, but now...just give it a rest. Only he will decide if he comes back. Maybe be creative and if you want to bash Stephanie for being on TV, think of a new chant? mmk?

But why would the Steph haters want to do that when they have one that clearly annoys her? You find something that works, you stick with it.

Personally, as most of you know, I like Stephanie McMahon. I wouldn't chant CM Punk at her or anyone else, and I still love Punk even though he's a dick.

But the CM Punk chant is a lot like the "What" chant. Crowds use it because it works. It makes more sense to use something you know works than to experiment and try to find something else.

Perhaps if they really want the chants to stop, take Steph off TV for a while. But to be realistic, other than doing that or bringing CM Punk back, the chants aren't gonna stop. And of course, the latter isn't gonna happen.

I remember a video that surfaced online when Punk first left,in the video it was a wwe match with ambrose vs someone else and his shield team mates were outside and the cm punk chant was on going and Seth Rollins grabbed a mic and something clever back to them about the chant but that segment never made it live.

It is good if a wrestler can use it like seth did to get heat, but yeah it is Blue.
