I'll admit I laughed at a few of them, don't know what's going on with him tbh, he was always the best player and top goalscorer at Boro by far, maybe that says something about us rather than him though... :hmm:

He needs the team building around him imo, plus he probably played out of his skin since you were his club.

Yeah with us he always had someone big to cross it into (Yakubu, Viduka) and he doesn't really have that at Liverpool, our tactics were pretty much,
1, get the ball
2, give ball to Downing
3, let him do whatever he wants with it

We were so predictable but somehow it always worked, well except that season we got relegated.

We're similar this season just replace do whatever we want with run for a bit either hit a wild shot or confuse refs cos we have two black players.

You are very wrong. He had Caroll last season whos bigger than Yakubu and Viduka combined.

And a winger cant be a playmaker.

He always was a overrated player. Much like Ashley Young imo, the later though still way better than downing.

Iniesta's most common position now is LW. Would you say possibly the greatest playmaker ever isn't a playmaker?

Iniesta's position is the left wing but he isnt a winger. Position and playing style are two different things. Downing, Valencia this is are wingers. Iniesta cuts inside and plays as a playmaker, many attacking midfielders have put in that wide wing position so they can cut in, in the past. Modric, Nasri Ronaldinho etc etc
