I'd like for someone like Sandow or Cody.

Though wwe will probably go with Del rio.

Wouldn't be surprised given his injury record if he ends up going out like Edge did, where his last match wasn't planned to be but injury made it that way.

No one. He should go out as champ and retire that way with a goodbye speech on SD as the greatest lucha ever.

I do think people are writing him off too quick, he had a fn quack operate on his knee all those times, see what Dr. Andrew has done for him first and those new braces he's wearing. I think he has at least 2 more years and with trips in charge it could be more as he is sensible enough to give him a hbk like schedule. I doubt we see rey used like he was under Vince with going full time on the road

That's pretty much how I see it going sadly too. Don't really vision him retiring cause he wants to but more cause he will be forced to hope I'm wrong though.

Agree with Dale and PHX though if it were a planned outing at this point. I really wouldn't care all that much. Nobody really matches his style in WWE, closest is probably RVD and that doesn't make sense though nobody really does because no current WWE guys have all that much history with Rey.

The only guys I can think of at all that match him aren't in wwe. They are Chavo and Batista because of his history

The only way I see someone specifically retiring him would be if he gets injured too bad during a match. Doubt he loses a retirement match if that's what the thread means.

Just put him in with Jericho in an Iron Man or something.

I don't even care about who wins or loses, those two had just as much chemistry as RVD/Lynn or Benoit/Jericho.

I just thought of this the other day, I would honestly LOVE to see Mysterio go out like a boss at WM against Undertaker. I know it seems highly unlikley with all the better choices for Taker, but I feel like Mysterio can get one more great Mania moment in before he goes.

If they were both down for it, I'm sure Rey would let Batista finish him. Hell, I'm sure Rey's cool enough with a guy like Cena where Cena could be the one to do it.

Let Rey end on his own terms please. The ultimate underdog of the last generation shouldn't go out with his head low.

If someone hypothetically has to do it my immediate thought is Del Rio but at this point it would do nothing for him, a few years ago maybe but I'm not keen on that feud anymore really.

Alternatively just have him announce on his own terms that he's going to retire and schedule a friendly ("one last") match the next Raw against whoever, some big face, mentor, long time rival, guy he never wrestled, etc. Perhaps John Cena, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, possibly Sin Cara but probably not (I still want some more interaction between those two though).

Point is, the last thing I want is for Rey's departure to be a downer.

^It wasn't a downer when Shawn ended Ric, or Undertaker ended Shawn. Those are extremely special moments.

And Rey comes from Mexican wrestling... they're ALL about the amazing show of respect it is for a luchador to let someone end their career.

Better have a n uber face be the one to end his career, but I doubt Rey wants to end his career anytime soon, the guy has stem cells and ape bone left to try fix his knees.

That really. Plus no one really needs to retire him, Him going out on his own accord would be a better way of doing things.
