Who is your current favorite wrestler

This is interesting because I've seen people be fans of guys like Bryan Danielson, question is, were you fans when they first started? So I'll ask a few questions.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler?
2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler
4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why?

Thought I'd generate some discussions to see why people like certain wrestlers and hate others.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler? Jericho
2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them. The whole shebang Mic skills ring skills whats not to like.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler? His age leaving and coming back soon gone for good
4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why? Really can't stand Cody Rhodes. Not really sure why guess I think he's just highly overrated.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler? CM Punk or Cody Rhodes
2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them. CM Punk - Yes I've been a fan for many years and was a pretty big fan of him back in ECW. I think he has great charisma, great mic skills, he's good in the ring with good in-ring chemistry with a lot of guys. Cody Rhodes - I liked him in the Legacy a couple years ago but after that I didn't have much interest in him and wasn't a fan at all last year with the dashing stuff and what not. He started to grow on me not too long ago and I'm a really big fan of him. He has a great look, good at promos and is good in the ring. He's one of the guys you could see on top of the company in years to come.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler? CM Punk - Not much except the fact he can do a lot of the same stuff over and over but it's still entertaining. Cody Rhodes - Not much except the fact he isn't doing much.
4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why? The Great Khali - Yeah I know his height limits him a lot but why have him on the roster then? He walks pretty slow and I'm sure his knees are banged up, he doesn't even do any moves really except a couple slaps, a boot and Punjabi Plunge.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler? Extremely hard to pick one actually. Does this have to be WWE or can it just be any company because right now it's probably Kevin Steen.
2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them. No because I didn't really see much of him until this year.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler? Doesn't necessarily have the "look"
4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why? The Great Khali. Why? This forum is not big enough to list his cons.

Tyson Kidd & Dolph Ziggler

2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them.
I have always liked Tyson Kidd from the beginning, from the tag matches to him now being solo. I didn't like Nicky in Spirit Squad but when he broke-even and developed as his own I started to enjoy him a lot more.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler I have disliked the fact that Tyson Kidd is such a great wrestler and is very under-used... Kidd isn't exactly good on the mic and I believe over time or with a mouth-piece he could come as his own.

With Ziggler, I feel he needs to break away from Vickie and become his very own, he can already cut some good promos on the mic. The fact he over-sells a bit too much kind of does it for me, I know he's a great seller but he over-does himself a little too much. I understand his position in the mid-card now and a move to Smackdown would boost him and hopefully a WHC Champion by end of the year.

4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why?
Easily said, Khali. He is very limited to what he does in the ring and it's quite understandable WWE are using him for the Indian market but Khali won't be around for long at his current rate. What disappoints me here is the fact Mahal isn't being pushed when he is using a Punjab gimmick.

2 Question. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them.
2 Answer. The very first time i saw him, it was him vs. Paul London @ ROH's The Epic Encounter. I knew about Paul already and wanted to see what he was up to so i watched the match and as soon as i saw Danielson come to the ring i was like "how the fuck is this guy" London is gonna kill this guy but as soon as the bell rang and Danielson went on the attack and start working on the arm, working on the leg, ribs and head it reminded me of how Flair or Bret would work on a opponents body part and just dominate and just when you think he's just a technical wrestler he starts jumping off the top rope then the very next show he show his brawling ability. And from that point I've been a MARK.

3 Question. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler
3 Answer. I will say his height, don't get me wrong i like his height cause he representing for us short guys but him being taller wouldn't be a bad thing. Also his theme music he needs something more legit and something more tough.

4 Question. Who is the worst current wrestler and why?
4 Answer. Ahhhhhh man their are so many, I guess i'm gonna have to go with the Miz. I've never been a Miz fan. Not even during his 07/08 us title run when the ICW was on his dick about give him the WWE title and watch him carry the company. He was just about watchable but that was mainly due to his promos which i thought were okay but nothing too great, and his ring work was pretty bad but since then he hasn't gotten much better. He can't carry a match if he's in the ring with a guy worse in the ring then him and his promo have gotten allot worse. All i hear from him is the same things every week. "I headlined WM27", "I beat Cena in the match". "I do not deserve this". "REALLY!" and that stupid catchphrase.

I'd go Ezekiel Jackson if I had another choice. I actually thought he was decent when he was with TBK but since then he's gotten so boring and it's just bodyslam, punch in the ring and he's fallen off the face of the Earth.

I always wanted him to be a Bobby Lashley kind of guy but I guess we all can't have what we wish for.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler? Currently? I'd have to go with 3 people, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk or Dolph Ziggler. My all time favorite wrestler is Edge.
2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them. All I never really saw until their break out in WWE. I don't know if Dolph was in the Indy scene for a long time, but I did in fact enjoy his work in the Spirit Squad. Daniel Bryan really impressed me the first time I saw him on NXT. And I have gone back and watched some of his work in the Indy scene. I became a fan almost instantly. CM Punk, I liked his stuff in ECW, he easily became one of my favorite wrestlers. I also looked back on his Indy work(Both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk's Indy stuff thanks to DejayChris) and I became a huge mark for him.
3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler? With Dolph, his gimmick, I don't know. I don't think it really suits him, could also be because WWE hasn't really helped develop the gimmick as of late, and he needs to get rid of Vickie. Daniel Bryan, his music, like DejayChris said, I'd like to hear "Final Countdown", I don't hate his current music, but it got a little old, pretty fast. CM Punk, honestly, his mic work as of late, it's not AS good as it was when he was chasing the WWE title, and when he was faacing being fired or his contract being up and challenging them to give him better stuff on his contract.
4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why? Zack Ryder, I like him, I'm just not a fan of his ring work. And he could really use for a new gimmick, how long has the Broski gimmick been going for anyways? 2... 3 years now? Longer probably.

Favourite wrestler? - Chris Jericho, always has been (except for that Goldberg stint when I was 8).

Did you like them from the start? - Pretty much. Jericho was one of the first characters that got me hooked into wrestling along with Eddie, Austin, Benoit, Raven and Triple H (I got into wrestling about '97, I only cared for Austin in WWF at the time so I was a WCW guy up until it went of the air from Australia's TNT after Booker T won the title). Even as a 7 year old, I couldn't get enough of Jericho and Ralphus. I was happy as fuck when he jumped to WWE, then the Radicalz.

What do you dislike about him? - While I think his quality of work is still stellar, he's passed his prime. Also - and I've always struggled to put this into words - he's always been missing something. I've enjoyed almost everything he's ever done, but there's just a piece missing from the puzzle to make him the total package that I can't put my finger on. And I don't think its his size. The things I don't like about Jericho are things I can't really identify, let alone explain.

Who is the worst current wrestler? - Darren Young. Khali may be sluggish and boring but I honestly don't expect him to be much more than that and I thought his heel run had potential when Singh was his mouthpiece (go back to that with Mahal instead, surely you could get them over as a monster force by having Khali snap). Titus O'Neill is really no better, perhaps worse... But I like him. I think his goofiness is actually kind of endearing for him in a way. He's perhaps the biggest doofus to ever get in a ring, but he's just so lovable in the same way that Mike Tyson and Shaq are just goofy and funny. Darren Young, however, is generic personified and has never once impressed me in any way.

Plus, he's just strange to look at.

1. Who currently is your favorite wrestler?- Chris Jericho because he's still here. Punk is a close 2nd

2. Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them- I got into Jericho the minute he stepped foot into the WWE when I was five years old. My cousins would baby sit me in Jericho, New York where Jericho grew up in even though he's from Toron..I mean Winnipeg you idiot (had to). Jericho had some problems early on feuding with Chyna but as a kid, I remember him being right there with Austin as my favorite. Jericho's mic work made me glued to my television screen and in the ring he was great. The guy is absolutely brilliant.

3. What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler- He never had a long title reign which bugs me. He has won the WWE or WHC title reign on occasions but he never got that 3 to 6 month run with it. It's a shame but it doesn't really hurt that much because I know Jericho isn't among the upper echelon of main events. Still think he's one of the greatest of all time regardless.

4. Who is the worst current wrestler and why?- Good call Fab on people picking Khali. I'm going to go with someone that is actually on TV that is The Big Show. It may be a bit lazy but I really can't think of anyone else relevant on the main brands that I'm upset about. Its too early to rate Ryback and Brodus so I'm going with someone that's worn out their welcome. I always liked Show as a face because he shows some personality in his promos and can be funny once in a while compared to a heel where he's just flat out boring and puts me to sleep. Who could forget that awful feud with Cena, good lord. Right now though Show does nothing more for me except being a burden to Cody Rhodes excellence. Show needs to retire ASAP, I'm sick of him.

Who currently is your favorite wrestler?
I've often been somebody who has had a favourite wrestler (The Rock, Batista, Edge), but this time I don't have a specific one. I've got a couple I prefer over others in CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler.

Did you like them from the start? If not, explain why and what made you like them.
I liked Punk from the start, I liked Ziggler from the start (excluding him being Nicky) but I was indifferent on Rhodes until he began to really prove himself when the Legacy ended.

What do you dislike about your favorite wrestler
I don't think it's what I necessarily dislike about them, it's more what I dislike with how them and most of the WWE roster are booked. That's what irritates me the most, as well as the rosters being one... but you all know that about me anyway.

Who is the worst current wrestler and why?
That would have to be The Great Khali, which really goes without saying, but if that pick is "too easy" then I'll go with Ezekiel Jackson. I guess it's for the same reasons, but they're the two I can't stand.

I think you've pinpointed what I think is missing from Jericho. He's never really had one single match or fued to lean his career on that I can definitively point to. Same goes with short Heavyweight Title reign durations, major accomplishments or feats like RR, etc. He's just going to be remembered purely for his creativity and charisma, but nothing tangible like 20 Wrestlemania wins or something. Thats a good and a bad thing.

Sure he has the record for most IC Title reigns and the first Undisputed Champion, but the IC Title is no longer relevant and the UC is a long dead concept so it barely means anything when you bring it up anymore, plus I often forget those accomplishments as it is.

The only tangible thing I could possibly point to when talking about what that staple for Jericho's career is, would maybe be his fueds with Rey Mysterio. No matter what time period , promotion, angle or match type, these two delivered every fucking time.
