Who is the Superior Spider-Man ?

Yep that's right Peter Parker has been confirmed to have been replaced as Spiderman as of Amazing Spiderman 700.

As a long time spidey fan who has been reading it practically since I started to read I can't help that be royally pissed off that Peter won't be Spiderman anymore whether he was killed off or simply retired makes no sense to me at all considering sales for the webhead are still quite strong.

So folks who is the new Spiderman oh and it was also confirmed its not the Spiderman of 2099.

He's THE SPIDERMAN. He's a symbol not a man. Yeah ripping off Chris Nolans silly logic for that. The originals will always be favored.

This its a character so many people can relate to so much more then the likes of Tony Stark or Steve Rogers he was the core of the marvel heroe's moral I mean Black Panther let him eat fruit from the kings batch.

I know its not Peter Parker, Kaine Parker, Peter Porker, or Miguel O'Hara.

Miles Morales could take over in the 616, he has been the Ultimate Spider-Man for over a year now.

There is always the chance that somebody wasnt cured at the end of Spider-Island, and due to the events of that you could even assume Steve Rodgers would be a possible choice. Rick Remender is even writting the new Cap stories based in WW2.

Or, its someone completely new, an alternate dimension Spider-Man, or maybe even Peter & MJ's son from the future(because Marvel loves time travel)

My only problem with that, would be that in the M2(future universe where basically everyones kids have taken over), its May Parker that takes up Spider-Girl, and Benjamin Richard Parker actually becomes Carnage. Both of Peter & MJ's kids are named after Aunt May & Uncle Ben.

With all the retconned stories, I am unsure of the actual cannon status of Ben Reilly(the original Scarlet Spider), but I would still consider him regardless of if he is dead or alive. The only person who stays dead in comic books is Ben Parker anyways.

With all the unknown experiments going on at Horizon Labs(with the likes of Morbius, Reed Richards & other scientific geniuses) somebody may have synthesized the original radioactive spider DNA, allowing anyone to be given the Spider-Abilities. Even J. Jonah Jameson could hire a new nobody and make a new Spider-Man like he turned Mac Gargan into Scorpion. Hell, could even BE Gargan, last I heard he was Venom before Thompson, and played Spider-Man in Norman Osbournes Dark Avengers.

But the list I know of supporting cast, that are currently running their own books does limit the potential storylines. Kaine Parker(now Scarlet Spider), Eugene "Flash" Thompson(now Venom), & Eddie Brock(now Toxin), you take out 3 very good canidates. Elimintating names such as Miguel O'Hara(there is still atleast 2 generations between Parker & him), Peter Porker(its not Superior Spider-Ham), and every single female supporting cast(its also not Superior Spider-Girl/Woman, and the last I seen of Spider-Man comics MJ did have Spider-Abilities), makes me lean more to Miles Morales. The recent Spider-Men crossover did very well, and Miles has been getting alot of support after he took over for Parker in the Ultimate universe, after Punisher killed him.

This will go on for a few months, because comic marks are gullible, then the OG Spiderman will show up and fight it out with fake Spidey.

Just like DC did with Superman.

On another note anyone have an idea of how Peter gets replaced does he get put into a Coma, Dies, Retires.

Ok who has read Amazing Spider-Man 698 I was severly shocked of the ending of it I found it strange at first due to some of the things said then I realised why they were said so now I'm curious as to what will happen next.
