And you once again fit 7 into a list of 5.

I already own Seven Samurai...so do I really need to see The Magnificent Seven
Because some are tied for a place because they are equal.

I would say yes as though it is some way the same movie it does differ and the characters are different, but that is up to you.

The Village (2004)

the-village.jpg

I...I just don't know about this one.

Like most M.Night films it has some chilling moments & solid acting...
and Bryce Dallas Texas Howard is as charming as always...but...I just
don't know how I feel about it.

I've seen it at least five times now & I keep waiting to finally "get it" but
I never do. At least Lady in the Water is weird & quirky...this is just kind
of flat & sombre.
The Village didn't have a nad idea or set up, but once the " twist" is revelaed; it just makes the movie stupid. Also, m. Night tries hars to be unique, but fails.

Ugh...the spelling errors...my OCD...flaring up...
must correct or my brain will start bleeding...

;P

I don't know man...I think M.Night is pretty unique
as far as a filmmaker goes...and he isn't afraid to
try new ideas & different styles...so I can respect
that.

I wouldn't call The Village "stupid" more like...failed
potential?

I ROBOT

I was watching some I Robot.

I had a epic chill going down my spine when I saw Sonny(Robot) wink at Will symbolizing he was still on his side.

That was such a Badass Epic Scene, man it's so hard to describe.

Yeah I really enjoyed it.

Also, wanted to add that Open Range was a very good Western.

Also, M. Night Shyamalan is a brilliant man and all brilliant men, at times, have not-so-good ideas. His track record thus far is very good though.. out of his 10 big budget films released to date, I believe that, in my opinion, 7 of them were decent or better films.

1. Sixth Sense (Masterpiece, 10/10)
2. Unbreakable (Masterpiece, 10/10)
3. Signs (Fantastic, 8/10)
4. The Village (Eh, 4/10)
5. Lady in the Water (Interesting, 6/10)
6. The Happening (Decent, 5/10)
7. The Last Airbender (Terrible Adaptation, 3/10)
8. After Earth (This is where I started asking "Why?!", 4/10)
9. The Visit (Ah.. back to familiar territory, 7/10)
10. Split (Brilliant, 9/10)

Well...I was going to start an M.Night thread...but I guess this will do.

I pretty much agree with you @Just Kevin but allow me to
rate/rank/comment on all of his "Big Budget/Hollywood" films.

1. Sixth Sense (Masterpiece, 10/10)
2. Unbreakable (Masterpiece, 10/10)
3. Signs (Fantastic, 8/10)
4. The Village (Eh, 4/10)

9. The Visit (Ah.. back to familiar territory, 7/10)
10. Split (Brilliant, 9/10)
1. Sixth Sense (Amazing...but Overrated, 8/10)
2. Unbreakable (His true Masterpiece, 10/10)
3. Signs (Another Solid but Overrated film, 7/10)
4. The Village (I'm still not sure, 5/10)
5. Lady in the Water (I kind of love it even though its awful, 8/10)
6. The Happening (What? NO!!!, 2/10)
7. The Last Airbender (It was fine...until I watched the TV show, 2/10)
8. After Earth (Wasted Potential, 3/10)
9. The Visit (It needed something more, 5/10)
10. Split (Unbreakable wasn't a fluke, 10/10)

Honestly...I kind of like all of the M.Night films...because like I've
said...they are at least interesting & strange in their own way.

That sentence is grammatically correct. As for M. Night, just hate the majority of his movies because of he because of him being a really bad edgelord and he always has to shove "his style" in your face, and it gets annoying.

True...but at least he has a recognizable style...
and that's important as far as film making goes.

And whenever I read the word "Edgelord" all I
think about is that Reaper guy from Overwatch.

If he wants a "style" then fine but quit shoving it in the people's face, you know. M. Night is very bad about it compared to others.

See No Evil 2

220px-See_No_Evil_2_poster.jpg

I was watching some See No Evil 2 and I truly enjoyed almost every bit of it.

I SMH-ed at that part where that Slutty Whore was on top of Kane about to Fuck his corpse.:emoji_unamused:

I was so happy with how he killed that bitch. Whore kissing a dead corpse and fucking with a horny jackass in the Morgue. SMH

Truly I love the Jacob Goodnight Character; And his Look and Attire and this movie way more Darker, Menacing, Badass, and Off the Fucking Charts!

This character and Film series has tons of potential to be a Cult Classic. But I just wish he had better writers.

Because to me in this film it would've been more better to make him Silent Undead Slasher instead of having one scene where he talks. But I got passed that

But besides that Kane did a fantastic job, and I cannot wait for a See No Evil 3! In my book :emoji_star::emoji_star::emoji_star::emoji_star:(missing on because of the 1 talking scene) . Awesome Movie

Not really Brother Seth. I mean every artist has a style that they "shove in people's faces". I mean that's what being a unique artist is isn't it?
Not every artist or filmmaker shoves their style in your face as M. Night does. Literally, most of his movies are "Look my style, I am unique, and Look at me look at me, I do interesting things," and it comes off like a dick and high strong like M. Night is this great filmmaker or whatever when he isn't. None of his movies are that interesting or entertaining to me at least. Though I will say, The Villiage, Devil, and The Vist had the potential of being good but failed horribly because of M. Night's "look my style" motif.

Being a unique person or artist or filmmaker or whatever doesn't mean shoving it in your audiences' faces, and you let it happen naturally instead of forcing it. Being unique means you have a style that is unique to you and people know that it is you like Spielberg, Hitchcock, Tarantino, Rodriguez, Craven, and more.

A fair call I guess...I personally don't have a problem with the
"Look at me! Look at me!" style...I mean at least the person
believes enough in what they are trying to do to put it front
& center.

We probably just disagree about M.Night on a fundamental
level...I mean...he's one of my all time favorite filmmakers...
even when his films are objectively terrible.

Speaking of which...On Topic:

Unbreakable (2000)

I'm still on my "M.Night kick" as it were & I think its because
I'm hyping myself up for Glass in January. This is my all time
favorite of his films & while it isn't perfect (Its not Citizen Kane)
nearly every scene works & the ending "twist" is still a huge
gut punch.

Willis & Jackson have great chemistry & it will be fantastic
to them reprising these roles.
