What is your opinion on the Demon King Gimmick/Persona

You said they were doing a Jekyl and Hyde with him and the demon that equivalent to split personality. How would they solve that?

The Jekyll and Hyde could work though. It's just I don't trust WWE writers to be competent enough to execute it well. Plus Finn Balor is not a good actor.

If I was in the director chair I would just concentrate on Finn pulling off some big wins to make him legitimate again. Maybe turn him heel.

So now I'm beginning to see what a lot of you guys are saying. That it sucks to see him automatically become a superstar with supernatural abilities, then all of a sudden he normal. Truly that is dumb. Basically that tells you they really don't know what to do with Finn Balor and his Demon King persona. SMH

What should do is make him the man of few words, cool dark personality(like Jason Statham), keep mostly to himself type of guy. And if you get on his bad side he's gotta a gift for you... The Demon King. But you will really have to piss him off

Okay...so...give me a minute...I can't feel my fingers very well...

I really like the more theatrical & supernatural elements of pro-wrestling...
its the main reason I enjoyed Season 1 of Lucha Underground.

When I first saw the "Demon King" I was hoping the WWE would flesh
the idea out more...turn it up to 11 so to speak.

Give "the Paint" a personality, show the audience how the Demon was
different from Finn & why it was important that the Demon never had
control 100% of the time.

But...yeah...I doubt you guys will ever see that.

I always thought the WWE wasted its best opportunity to do this after
TLC last year.

So the Demon defeated A.J Styles at TLC in a fantastic match right...
well instead of having Finn squashed by Kane the next night...why
not have Paul Heyman come out & start cutting some kind of promo
(with the Universal title on his shoulder) when he's interrupted
by Finn (still covered in the Demon paint from the night before).

Finn tries to talk to Paul...but eventually he "snaps" & attacks Heyman,
paints a red symbol on his face before picking up the Universal title
& simply staring at it.

Now...we continue the build towards Survivor Series like normal with
Lesnar being booked to fight Jinder (lol) & then Styles all the while
Finn lurks behind the scenes watching the events unfold.

Gallows & Anderson attempt to talk to Finn (at the urging of Angle)
but can't seem to snap him out of his "haze" & eventually Bayley
also tries to talk to Finn but the Demon ends up "talking" to Bayley
about her own "issues"

Survivor Series finally arrives & during the Lesnar/Styles match,
the Demon King (now in complete control) attacks Lesnar (& Heyman)
allowing A.J to score the victory.

Lesnar & Heyman are livid as the Demon King doesn't show up
for the 5 on 5 Elimination Match (his spot taken by Bray Wyatt)
& the match plays out like it on the night (even though that sucked)

Then the very real build begins towards the Beast vs. the Demon
for the Universal title at the Royal Rumble 2018 with Gallows &
Anderson (now themselves wearing "Demon-like" war paint)
serving as direct back up for the Demon while Bayley is also
drawn in closer to the painted man & she herself begins to
slowly turn.

Then at the Rumble...well...Lesnar can "suplex" the Demon
back into hiding I guess instead of the pitiful triple threat match
that we saw & both Strowman & Kane could be in the Rumble
with Strowman taking Balor's place with him being eliminated
towards the end simply due to exhaustion.

That is what the WWE could/should have done between TLC
& Royal Rumble...but instead...lets just have Finn squashed
by Kane.

Ugh...

Why did I just type all of that?

Why do I even bother?

Nearly every member of this forum could book the WWE better
than the WWE itself does.
