Wow, again that proved nothing. Every Half Life fan(there is a lot) is dying for Half Life 3. Most Half Life fans and PC users are pissed(they tend to be the most hardcore). Console players of Half Life can't even access Steam so it is in no way even the slightest hint of how many people want to see Half Life 3. Portal 2 was a popular game and sold well but Half Life is BY FAR more popular.

Valve isn't stupid either, they know the hype Half Life 3 has, how many people want to see it and how most of it's Half Life fans are pissed, irritated and/or annoyed at this point.

It's been 4 years since the last Fallout sequel and 4 years of development for at least a Fallout 4 announcement sounds right to me. It's also pretty much the perfect time to release a fallout game this year with it being 2012 to bank on post apocalyptic doomsday craze.

What does Portal or Console gamers have to do with the fact that there was a poor turn out to a Half-Life protest? I don't understand how you failed to see the simplest point.... again I never said that it was a true representation of how many fans there actually is, but to put it another way, if the goverment passes a law that no one likes, and millions of people show up and are protesting this law infront of the white house, capitol hill etc, there is a good chance the goverment says, hmmm, we should look into maybe repealing that law. But if only a dozen protesters show up, the goverement isn't going to do shit. Likewise if people show up Valve might say, hmm, maybe we shouldn't leave them hanging for so long. If only a 5th of the promised number shows up Valve is likely to say, ah screw it. Put it on the back burner for another year or so. You say Valve knows, but seeing a couple blogs about it doesn't tell them shit. You need real concreate numbers. And so far the fans have proved nothing.

And I'm not really arguing with you over weather they should or shouldn't announce/release a fallout 4 in 2012, I'm just saying based on how fast this company normally works, I would say don't bet on it.

It will definatly come out this year. Its in heavy beta testing now, and I am guessing they will finally announce an official release date in the late spring and the release date will be for October or November.

Then I will bid farewell to you all then and will see you again sometime in 2014.

That is a Blue comparison.....console gamers can't access steam? Did you not know that? and how do you not see the point in Portal 2? It sold well but Half Life is by far more popular so logic should tell you that a lot of people want to see it.

No its not a Blue comparison. And of course I knew they couldn't access steam, I just don't see why thats a factor when when you talk Half-Life you gereally are talking PC Gamers not console gamers. And I don't see the point to Portal 2, because just because Half-Life sold better at the time compared to Portal 2 now, doesn't indicate that its still more popular now. Just because it was popular at the time, doesn't make it still popular now. So again, there is no solid numbers currently to support that Half-Life is still popular. And when you don't get your project turn out, it doesn't help people like you convince people like Valve that there is still intrest in there product.

I don't know how else to put this but Portal 2 sold very well yet Half Life is just a much bigger franchise. So again, they have nothing to worry about and yes this is a fact. I'm aware that Half Life has most of it's fans on PC but that's not all. Still a lot of fans on PS3 and Xbox.

I understand what your saying, but again, talking about how Half-Life was more popular that Portal 2 that sold very well doesn't prove it still is.

For example the 2K Sports NHL used to outsell the EA Sports NHL, so back then it was more popular. Its not anymore and the proof is in the sales numbers, to the point that there was no 2K Sports Hockey on any system last year. Poularity can only really be judged this way, and there are no recent sales figures for Half-Life to prove if it is as popular as everyone claims it is.

Street Fighter x Tekken and GTA V.

That's pretty much the only thing I'm looking forward to this year. Never played Mass Effect, played the first Bioshock and heard the sequel's story wasn't as good.

Sadly GTA V is probably not this year. Its hard to say for sure since Rockstar is being so tight lipped, but its not looking like its going to be 2012

smurfs are into hitman too now?

I've been a fan of the series since the games first came out. All of them have been good. Don't knock it till it drops.

Far Cry 2 sucked balls, why would you be interested in the 3rd game? Also, TDK stfu Operation Racoon City is a 3rd person action shooter spin off. It's not survival horror though it retains some elements and it isn't being billed at survival horror so stop bitching. If you want survival horror get the 3DS game and RE6. Raccoon city is something fresh with brand new characters, the ability to change past events, more refined coop and a deeper action experience. It's what the action in RE5 should have been and they are improving upon that. It's not even out yet either so you can't knock it. True RE fans will give it a chance instead of acting like a pussy because it's not survival horror. In case you haven't noticed RE isn't limited to just survival horror now.

I still haven't played 2. I played the first couple on PC actually (lol). Love those though. Still been wanting to get a copy to play before 3 comes out.

I mean that's like saying GTA 4 sucked, so why the hell play 5?
